Oops - I found the message of June 27, explaining the download of the digital versions. No need for any action. Sorry for the inconvenience.

      Jeffrey,
I have never received my $10 reward through the e-mail. Is it possible that it bounced because it was too large as an attachment ? I checked my mail, and strange enough, the most recent update that I received by e-mail was #10. I did receive updates from other Kickstarter projects (so mail from KS does work). I also checked my spam filter, no message about PopView there ...
If you have sent me a message with the digital maps, can you send it again (and please a separate message without attachments to let me know that it was sent)?
      Regards,
      Hans

My poster arrived this morning (in the UK) - thoroughly gorgeous but I haven't yet figured out how to frame and hang it to get the best of both sides!

Hi, I recently moved (about 4 weeks ago). I had updated my address in Amazon but am not sure if you'll be using that one or the one I had supplied back in march. How can I have you ship to my new address ?

Kind of scary that three weeks after he says things should get mailed next week that he's not said anything.

Hi Jeff Any possibility of us getting a PDF or similarly scalable electronic copy of the map?

I like that idea Jeff. Would be neat to look up and know the close-up details of what I see.

      Jeff,

I’m a California winemaker and production consultant, and backed your project in a small way.

A consciousness of the moon is becoming more important in winemaking and other forms of biodynamic agriculture. See http://wakawakawinereviews.com/2012/02/23/understanding-orange-wines-3-italian-orange-wines-gravner-breg-vodopivec-classica-bea-arboreus-coenobium-rusticum/ in which ground-breaking winemaker Josko Gravner is discussed: “Gravner’s website explicitly states that he bottles on the waning moon, a practice integral to fully-vested biodynamic treatises.”

Field grafters also report better take on the ebbing moon when sap flows less readily.

I am skeptical but open. I am eager to use your tool to expand my consciousness of the moon in my work.

      Clark Smith

      Dear Publius:

First, thank you for your comment. A little background regarding the video - I spent a day in NYC talking about the project in front of a huge Poview Map of Mars. A few seconds of that session kicks off the video. That footage was to form the bulk of the video. After our creative team ( a team of one comprising the irrepressible, dynamic and endlessly creative Rita King) finished it, I was as surprised as anyone would be in such circumstances. That said, I love the results. I have received many compliments on it and humbly defer all praise to Rita.

It certainly has a "style" in addition to the substance it conveys. No one style can or will please everyone. Our aim was to amuse. I apologize that we hit wide of your comfort zone. Once anything artistic is created and put out into the world, the artist is no longer the final arbiter of its meaning or relevance. Interpretation is for the beholder. It is my impression that it was intended to convey a feeling of long ago memories and wonder while self-consciously aping the look and feel of old movie reels (kind of like Young Frankenstein). But that's just my opinion.

I should add that I created the text of the page and included straightforward images of past mapping creations to appeal to the more traditional Kickstarter purveyor. I was afraid that a parent considering a map for their inquisitive child would envision a beret clad cartographer reciting beat poetry while a french film bemoaning the plight of a protagonists taunted by the "sad clown of life" plays in the background - and move on.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion with both myself and the Kickstarter community and hope that we can count you amongst the backers of this project. Might I suggest a $1200 pledge so that we might discuss the video at length over dinner :-) Cheers.

      -Jeff

Well, of course I can hardly help but back this project — but I can't really find much good to say about that video. "A triumph of style over substance", & in this case the (pretentious, self-aware, determinedly 'artistic') style is annoying as all getout.

I do not want to do the $65 backing if I am not mailed the poster and glasses. Seeing as I am from Canada- and AFTER I pledge it states that I won't be mailed anything because I am not in the US (can that be changed???). If I am not going to receive the map I DO NOT want to back. Please contact me asap.

      Hello

Can you give a rough size of the Moon and Mars Map files, please; if they are going to be emailed (as opposed to emailing us a download link) then some email accounts may impose size limits. I'm assuming that they are quite large files that are worth zooming into.
