We want to play an amazing show for you in SF. Backing this project helps make the show a reality, and it gets you in the door too.

Hello, San Francisco! We want to play a show for you.

An awesome show.

We’re an indie rock band. We think the best way to get to know us is through our music, so we hope you’ll take a moment to check out the video for our first single, Analog or Digital, which was filmed on Ocean Beach.

We’re based in Brooklyn and San Francisco (long story), but there’s been some bicoastal inequity we need to resolve. Over the last several months we’ve been packing top notch rock clubs in NYC, but sadly our beloved Bay Area fans have pretty much been left out. We think it’s time San Francisco got a proper Wildlife Control show in a great space with great sound.

Thanks to Kickstarter, you can help us make this happen. Spread the word. Rally the troops. If you guys back at least 100 tickets, it'll be enough to bring us out and convince a venue that we won’t just be playing for the bartender.

The rewards are pretty simple: back us coming to SF, and in return you'll get a ticket to the show in June. Back us at a higher level and you’ll get more tickets and some cool stuff for you and your friends. Your support will be responsible for making the show possible, which is pretty awesome.

We’ll be posting updates when the exact date and venue are locked down. In the meantime, huge thanks for your support! It’s what keeps us going. Drop us a line on Facebook or Twitter (or here on Kickstarter)—we absolutely cannot wait to play SF.

Oh, and here’s that interactive video we mentioned with the robots and spaceships and stuff.

And here's some tracks for the road...

“Wildlife Control are writing classics. ‘Analog or Digital’ is vaguely Ramones, vaguely Phoenix, wholly a triumph in rock that might be considered indie, and entirely awesome. It’s a must listen.” Indie Shuffle

“As we keep moving forward in the resurgence of the digital age and music video takes a stronger hold online than it ever did on television, groups like Wildlife Control are doing all the right things.”Wired.com

If you have any questions about anything, please leave us a comment and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

THANKS!

FAQ

  • Sometime during the 2nd or 3rd week of June. As we approach our funding goal, we'll contact venues and lock down the specific date and time. The show will be in San Francisco.

  • We'll coordinate that with the venue after locking down the date. You'll either receive an e-ticket via email, or your name will be added to a VIP list at the door (in which case you'll need to bring a photo ID).

  • Your name will be on a list at the merchandise table at the show where you can pick up your goods. We won’t be able to ship anything, but we will thank you in person, which is way better.

  • Dozens of small items were used in the music video for Analog or Digital. We're compiling a list to send to anyone backing at the $80 level. Some examples of the items are small sandbox tools, audio cassettes (yeah, from the 80s), drum sticks, and the football you see us tossing in the background. There are many others, and while we'll miss them all, we're honored to give them to you guys for your support.

  • We hope you’ll convince a friend to attend instead. Tell them it’s a Radiohead concert. Or message us through Kickstarter and we’ll refund your money if you prefer (sad face).

  • We get asked that a lot. Mostly we got really lucky. Other explanations are found in our "making of" video: http://youtu.be/PEBqKCXytr0
