Have you ever wanted to get away from that long barbecue session to get some forgotten items from the nearby grocery store or watch some football at your neighbor’s house? Or maybe you want to stay inside on a cold day and monitor your barbecue from the comfort of your living room? Worried that you might overcook your meat? Now you can do the same with Tappecue. No matter where you are as long as you have Internet on your iPhone, iPad, Android Phone or Android Tablet you will always be one tap away from your Barbecue or Grill. 

Initial Setup 

Connect your Tappecue to your Windows Computer with the USB that you will be provided with. Run our installation program and enter your Network name (SSID) and Password. Keep the DHCP option checked. More information will be provided to you on the selection of Security Type when you get the device. In our case the SSID ( Network Name) is 'Innovating-Solutions'.

How it works

Tappecue connects over your home wireless network just like you connect your mobile devices and laptops.  Once done with the Installation as shown above remove the USB and plug in the power supply and probes. You will be able to set limits on your cooking session from your mobile app and start your smoking session .Once you plug in the power supply and your probes the Tappecue will start sending your temperature readings to the Tappecue Cloud as shown below. You can then monitor your cooking session no matter where you are and once we build our mobile apps alerts will be sent to you if the temperature goes out of limits or when your smoking session is done.

With the Tappecue you can monitor your temperature from anywhere in the World. Tappecue will give you the freedom to roam about freely. That might be to go get some last minute supplies at your local grocery store or working in your garage, playing golf or mowing your grass or watching some football at your neighbors house.

Current Status and Future Plans

We currently have 3 working prototypes of the Tappecue. We have a windows installation program ready and a website that gives you access to the most current temperatures through browsers. We have a manufacturer that we are currently working with. Once we get your support we will be re-tooling the Tappecue for a sleek new design and be manufacturing the first 1000 devices. Another important thing on our list is to build rich apps for iOS and Android Platforms.  We would like to give history of smoking sessions with the ability to rate your sessions and graphing of the smoking sessions so you can track what made that last smoke so delicious and the ability to repeat it. An installation program for MAC computers will follow soon.
