A story about a young girl and her Teddy.
WHO?
We are brothers Scott (author) and Travis (illustrator) Catlett. This is our first tag team project, and we decided to create a children's book. We are very excited to bring this to fruition by using Kickstarter to raise the necessary funds. We can't wait to tell you all about it but first we'd like to thank you for taking a moment to learn about and back our project. Thanks!
WHAT?
Our book is called "And Teddy Too!" which features a young girl by the name of Susie who doesn't seem to want to do anything without including her beloved Teddy. The book primarily follows Susie and her Mother as they share a fun filled day together. Oh, and Teddy too!
From the moment Susie wakes to start her day it's apparent how important her Teddy is to her and perhaps in her eyes is even alive. Susie and Teddy do everything together from breakfast to bed time in this heart warming story that will have you and your child laughing and smiling together. And of course Teddy too!
WHY?
Through Kickstarter we hope to accomplish two goals. The first is to self publish a special "Kickstarter Edition" of our book. Each copy of the Kickstarter Edition will be signed by both of us and will also feature a special thanks section where backers will be acknowledged for their amazing support. After all we couldn't do any of it without you guys. Any funds that we raise above our original amount will help us achieve our second goal which is to fully publish our book so that it may be distributed to major retailers and ultimately find it's way into the homes of loving families everywhere.
HOW?
Well we assume you've had a look around and have an idea of how Kickstarter works. But in the off chance that this is your first time here and you're not sure here's how it works. We create a project and figure out how much it will take to make it a reality. Once we have that down we come to your guys for help asking that you back our project by donating at least $1 to our fund. Trust us every dollar counts.
That's not all! In return for backing our project you can claim various rewards! You should be able to see them on the right side of your screen. The more you contribute to our project the more rewards you receive in return! We've got some pretty great rewards so make sure you take a look at all of them to see what we have to offer.
WHEN?
"And Teddy Too" is fully written and being illustrated as you are reading. By the time this Kickstarter ends the final product will be ready for publication.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Once funded our greatest challenge will be working out the details with the self published version of the book. We want the book to be high quality with vivid images and considerable durability. After all it is a children's book and we want it to withstand the page turning of excited little hands. We have a few styles and publishers in mind but wont be able to choose until we can get a hold some samples and compare. Unfortunately this means the possibility of encountering lengthy shipping times as we await sample copies of our finished book. Even so our goal is to have the book self published and delivered to our backers doorsteps just in time for the holidays. We plan on putting in as many hours as necessary to ensure we reach this goal.
