I've got a beautiful new album in the works--Everything You Love Comes Alive. I need your help to fund it!
Thanks for stopping by! Here's the scoop about a new project I've got in the works...
Recently there's been an awakening in my creative life that I'm excited about. New songs have been stirring in me, and I'm ready to record a new album called Everything You Love Comes Alive.
This past year I've been writing and speaking about discovering our gifts, developing and nurturing them with passion and discipline, then sowing them like seeds into the fields where we live and work. I believe this "work of art" isn't so much a list of accomplishments or failures as it is doing what we love and are passionate about, and finding beauty and purpose in our lives as a result. Some of the songs on this record echo that theme--I can't wait for you to hear them!
Producing the album will be Nate Sabin, who produced my last CD, Meteor Shower. He's a brilliant songwriter, producer and friend who helps inspire my best work. Our plan is to record in Nashville and Minneapolis in late Spring of this year. I want to bring all of the resources, talents and heart I possibly can to this project.
As an independent artist, I don't have a record label that finances my albums, which means I am responsible for all of the costs. Although we've set the goal here at $12,000, we've estimated the new album will cost about $20,000 to make. Even in a healthy, thriving economy, this amount is a lot to set aside and I'm very much in need of some help to fund this record. In addition to renting studio space, and paying the musicians and engineers a fair wage for their time and talents, there are also design and manufacturing costs. We were modest in our goal amount because it's all or nothing: if we don't get all of it pledged in the 30 days, we're back at zero.
I would be humbled and overjoyed to have you share in this creative endeavor with me. Your support will make this vision a reality, and you'll play a part in not only creating a beautiful work of art, but also in encouraging and touching the lives of those who hear it. How cool is that?
