TOKE tells the story of your everyday homemaker who enjoys marijuana as she adventures through life.

TOKE, a play by Deedee Kirkwood, was put up in the summer of 2011 at the Ashby Stage in Berkeley, California with a great run of 4 weeks. People enjoyed the show so much, we will be toking it up once again, but this time in Sacramento, California at the Ooley Theatre.

Based on a true 'coming out green' story, TOKE is a socially conscious comedy-drama about Weedee, a big hearted Betty Crocker, soccer mom, who crashes through the suburbian tupperware wall with the courage to admit she inhales. TOKE follows her adventures as a young woman of the '60s in what appears to be lighthearted fun, but as usual, there is something more looming behind her wild journey. Armed with the Pot Fairy as her chronic side-kick, Weedee takes her life into her own hands one toke at a time.

Supporters:

Author of prop 215, Californians for Compassionate Use, and fellow community activist, Dennis Peron, is a fan and supporter of TOKE!

Mr. Peron’s Thoughts: “TOKE challenges public policy by dispelling negative stereotypes and invites legalization conversations into the living room.” “I can relate on many levels and give my full endorsement to TOKE as a powerful tool to bridge a new audience of support for liberating medical marijuana.  I have contributed $500 to help get TOKE up and running in Sacramento at the Ooely Theater, May through June, 2012.  Become a TOKEr like me and support however you can.”

"Let's come together for a laughing matter. Seriously.”
