Update #2: We did it!
Dear Backers
35 days into the campaign and with just 35 hours to go until the deadline, we have reached the goal! Each of you have played a vital role in giving 52 Suburbs Around the World wings!! The funds raised, together with the funds from my wonderful sponsors and every cent I can find/save from things like renting my place out, will mean that the project can kick off on January 1, 2012 - in just seven weeks time.
I can't thank you all enough for supporting this project. And I can't wait to post all your names up on the new blog's Supporters page, as well as deliver your other Rewards (sorry you'll have to wait until 2013 to receive some of the Rewards, but hopefully they'll be worth waiting for). I so look forward to bringing the suburbs of some of the world's great cities into your lives once a week for a year.

Past lives include copywriting, TV production and independent docos. In 2009-10 I entered the world of photography and blogging simultaneously with my Sydney blog project, 52 Suburbs. The blog had a fantastic response and went on to be published as a book and the images exhibited at the Museum of Sydney in 2011. Now for world domination!
