Synopsis:

Shadow of Hope takes place during Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. We explore a possible storyline on the planet Alderaan, just moments before the planet is destroyed by the Death Star.

The main character Darmit Candor, is a Jedi who went into hiding after his master was killed during Order 66. Under the reign of the Empire, Darmit struggles not only for survival, but to uphold the Jedi way.

Our Story:

Our goal is to make a short, Star Wars, fan film. The objective is to create the best possible film to submit to the "Atom films Star Wars Fan Film Festival".

This is not our first time asking for help from Kickstarter. After our first attempt did no succeed earlier this year we trimmed the budget dramatically and also trimmed the script. We actually believe it was a blessing in disguise because we feel we have an even stronger film to make. Now with almost two years of pre-production already under our belts, the script has been written, and the locations have been finalized and we've casted the main villains. We fully understand the amount of detail that needs to achieved to make our Star Wars Fan Film stand out above the rest. We have now reached a point where we need Kickstarter's help to push the project to its full potential.

Location:

The majority of this film will be shot in Swain's Creek, Utah.

This setting offers a natural and rugged environment, which showcases mountains, meadows and spectacular backdrops. This location and its wilderness captures the planet Alderaan perfectly.

Funding is always the Achilles heel of every film project. Not only is this project going on its second year of Pre-Production but we've also been raising funds through other means and we have generated a following in the Fan Film Community.

We want to provide this story with the authenticity and respect that Star Wars deserves. Your pledge will help to provide film equipment, costumes, makeup, props, special effects, lodging, and transportation for cast and crew.

FAQ:

Do you have to reach your goal? Yes. We need to reach or exceed our goal in order to keep any of the pledges for the film. If we don’t reach our goal, no one will be charged for their pledge and it will be as if the whole thing never happened. It’s all or nothing!

Can I give my reward as a gift? Yes, you can purchase a pledge and gift it to someone else. They will be notified about the gift and who it was from. We can even ship them their reward if you leave us a note.

Will the DVD be playable on my player/computer? Yes, we will be making the DVDs region free.
