An effort to print and distribute a tangible compliment to the digital graphic novel, Hotel Whiskey Tango.
My name is Ron Domingue and "Mission to Print" is my Kickstarter project. I recently published my first book, a graphic album called Hotel Whiskey Tango, for the iPad. My goal is to raise $5,000 to print and distribute, "The Art of Hotel Whiskey Tango," as a tanglible compliment to the digital product. But to make this happen, I’m going to need your help.
While I'm stoked to have published my first book, Mission to Print is an effort to go furthur. It’s about reaching a wider audience through a different medium and connecting with those who value print so that they can experience the art behind the story.
Much like a vinyl record, I feel there’s a link between the art, the format or design of it and the sensory experience we get when we take in that art. The sound of the needle, the smell of the ink, the experience of walking into a comic shop and talking to the guy behind the desk. I want "The Art of Hotel Whiskey Tango" to lend to that experience.
So what is Hotel Whiskey Tango? Hotel Whiskey Tango is a story about Jack Landry, a retired Marine sniper who gets entangled in a global heroin operation on a POW rescue mission.
In the story, Jack has his own set of incentives for accepting his mission and we want you to have incentives for joining us as well. Throughout this process, I've partnered with amazing artists to create the product you find in the iBookstore. For Mission to Print, I called on them again to put together some dope reward packages for pledging your support.
We have talented musicians on the Hotel Whiskey Tango soundtrack, shirts designed by I Am Always Hungry studio and original artwork available as well. Those are some of the rewards I think you’ll enjoy.

We understood that there was a desire for the story to extend beyond the iPad and have something tangible. We felt an art book allows for a wider audience and a broader appeal. We had some talented designers and artists involved in the entire process of putting the graphic album together and wanted to share their talent with you in some creative pledge packages.

Yes, unlike most Kickstarters we went ahead and produced a lot of the material we are offering so there are no mock-ups or prototypes, even the actual art book we printed in low quantity for quality assurance. We wanted to ensure that are audience were going to get something worthwhile for their pledge.
