Trees Companee is a web series created by 9 passionate film makers with a desire to learn by doing and to tell a story. It's a project about three individuals who are vastly different but yet find themselves enjoying and even depending at times on each other. Throughout the series the three come to learn and experience everyday life in extremes and face conflict that, if not for the help of each other, would deter them from their goals and dreams yet realized. Ultimately, it's about friendship, finding out who they are, realizing that though they are culturally diverse, they aren't that different after all. In their pursuits they face challenges that test their fortitude and take them on adventures they never thought were possible. 

Trees Companee is a comical look on what it is to be human, to discover true love and to face a myriad of obstacles that force our heroes to change in this thrilling ride that is the life of Terry, Marvin and Eugene.

The whole of season 1 was shot without compensation. Just a group of dedicated film makers with a passion. The three episode season was shot in a matter of 5 months and was done so with less then one thousand out of pocket pulled together from the cast and crew, also pulling in favors where we could. This collaboration has allowed us to do things in the series we never thought was possible. Using the idea of "6 degrees of separation", we had access to shoot on a high rise building in L.A., convert an empty 2 story building into a night club, a bank and an office building, to name a few. 

As young blood infused into the industry, we have little money but big dreams. With the help of our backers we can continue to shoot our web series and provide our audience with a story so compelling and identifiable. 

This project is planned as a 5 season web series. What we need is money for food and gas for the shoot dates to feed our cast and crew for season 2 (The last shoot had over 30 people including extras we provided food and drink for). Season two is projected as a 5 episode shoot that will occupy the summer months with a richer story-line and the introduction of new female characters and environments. Resources are needed to create the illusion of new sets, makeup, costumes and props.

With funding, we will be able to afford the equipment and replacements for old equipment we feel could vastly improve the series aesthetically. Including lighting equipment/rentals, set design, a couple lenses for DSLR's we have had to do without. Should the project generate enough buzz, excitement and donations as we feel the project can generate, we will be able to have a venue to screen season 2.

Furthermore, since the merger of SAG and AFTRA we now have 2 individuals on board with whom we must make arrangements to pay for their work as SAG/AFTRA union members. They are crucial to the story and therefore we cannot afford to lose them.

Just think, the credits roll, the crowd laughs and applauds, suddenly your name appears on screen. You lean over to the hot girl/guy next to you and say, "Oh yea, that's me, I helped make this possible." Easy breezy right? You bet, and from across the room Terry, our ladies man in the show, gives you a thumbs up, you're good he thinks, very good. Sure, Marvin, cautious yet lovable Marvin, will look on you with unsure eyes, wondering if you have good intentions with the person next to you. But when he see's your name on screen and how awesome you were for believing in our project, well, he'll smile and give you the thumbs up too.
