Hi there!
My name is Rebecca Holopter and I would love to make my short film "Kissing Cuba." The story is told by Becca as she tries to explain her first kiss. She goes through different movie genres (horror, romance, teenage comedy,etc.) to try tell how it went. When she messes up she rewinds to the beginning of the story to try it again.
This film would be a great challenge to make because it encompasses different genres in one film. The acting, lighting, camera techniques, costumes, make-up, sound, etc. would all change for each genre. It would be like watching many movies in one.
Pre-production started in January and we have had meetings every week since then. We have a talented and experienced crew, seasoned actors, and drive to make this film. All we need now are the funds to rent the equipment. We would like to shoot on an HD camera so that we can compete in film festivals. The film also takes place at night so a lighting kit is very important as well.
