Was just wondering the same myself, any news on the progress of this project? Would be nice to hear from you guys.
Creator Mark Karr on May 1
I haven't heard from you guys either. I never saw a backers survey. The teir I pledged at was estimated to be delivered this past month. Granted it was just an estimate, but it would be nice to hear updates, and know how the project is going.

5 days to go! hope stays alive
i have worked with the beta-version of your toolkit and it opened so many doors on a narrative and thematic level. i mean, i don't pretend to even remotely grasp the potential of this project if it is fully realized, but i sure want to:-)
good luck

The experience of navigating through the information is exciting. Pioneering immersive film making could change the way we experience movies. Please keep pushing this idea further and can't wait to see all the great information your have captured.
Also can't wait to see the Marius Watz portion of the film.
Hope you allowed the artists to play with their data.

This project is amazing! Great job team.
I work as a database administrator for a living, and I don't know if you guys realize this, but you've just taken another big step towards the Singularity.
Your project hit me really hard on a metaphysical level, well done.

Great project. Saw earlier version this spring and it was fantastic.
I was thinking about this project + tool in the context of history of 3D film making. According to this entry on wiki, the 'golden era' of 3D film was 50's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_film#The_.22golden_era.22_.281952.E2.80.931955.29
I haven't experienced any of new 3D film experiences yet to compare it with watching 3D film at planetarium experience twenty years ago. At any rate, Excited that this project can presents new challenge for film makers.

Hi Adam,
Thanks for the comment and reference, that is definitely some cutting egde research. Exploring multiple sensors is something we are definitely interested in as well!
In our tests we've found that this substantially complicates the process of shooting and editing, especially since much of our filming has taken place on-the-go, with little time to set up. For CLOUDS we decided to stay simple with the single camera and focus on the challenge of presenting dialogue in an immersive, interactive space. Future experiments we would definitely love to get more advanced with the capturing technique!

Very excited about the subject matter; lots of great names. I worry about the depth effect; however - I find the loss of information around the edges distracting. Have you considered using multiple Kinects and combining the inputs to flesh out the depth information (See: http://channel9.msdn.com/coding4fun/kinect/Shaking-some-sense-into-using-multiple-Kinects-with-Shake-n-Sense & http://www.youtube.com/watch… )? It would actually be killer to capture depth and RGB for a full 180, if not the full 360 degrees.
