About this project
Who We Are & What We Do
The Ki Anime Report is a weekly TV series that is aimed at fans of anime, manga, video games and Japanese pop culture. We cover the latest industry news, releases and events and we even throw in some fun stuff for good measure. You can currently find us Cox cable in Virginia and on the web at YouTube.com. You can even subscribe to our FREE video podcast on iTunes if you’re not in our area.
Our Goal For Season 2
Our number one goal is to reach as many viewers as possible. Whether they watch it on TV, iTunes, YouTube, Blip, or even watch us shoot it live from a convention, we want to reach as many viewers as possible.
We've been noticing that not only diehard anime fans enjoy our program but casual fans and even people that have no idea what anime is have found themselves tuning in for the latest episode. We just need your help to make season 2 something truly special that will continue to grow.
“Why Do You Need My Money?”
The Ki Anime Report is a labor of love created, developed and produced by a small production company known as Unorthodox Media. With being independently produced comes a great financial burden on a small amount of people. We need your help to make season 2 the most awesome thing to ever grace TV and the web. We’re talkin‘ more explosions, more lens flares, more attitude, and more badassery. Maybe not all that stuff, but we want to take the show on the road so we can do what we do best at anime conventions around the country. Plus, we'd actually like to pay the people who have been donating their time and skills to help out on the show.
In addition to the show we’ve also been invited to go to Japan to cover the More B.A.R.K. Less Bitin’ Tour for the show. We would also like to shoot a documentary covering this tour that aims to reignite tourism in Japan following the devastating tsunami and earthquakes from earlier this year. It’s a rare opportunity for fans to tour with the performers they’ve come to see and to see firsthand a country as it recovers from a major natural disaster.
For more info on the tour go to:

Money goes to:
-Production of season 2 of KAR 2011-2012 (19 episodes)
-Production costs & Kickstarter rewards
-Additional Staff
-Season 2 Convention Tour/coverage
-Coverage of our Japan tour and documentary (1 episode and 1 documentary)
-Travel, room and food
$28,000 will make season 2 possible and will go towards our ultimate goal of $55,000. We really would like to start paying our staff for season 2. Whatever you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance for the support. Once they figure out hugging technology for the internet we'll give you one.

My name is Frank Anderson and my wife and I have been working together for the past five years planning, shooting, editing and promoting our videos. We even started our own production company last year as we went into production on our first TV show that just finished its first season in Virginia. Even as we set our sights to do bigger things we still remain a company of two and just enjoy making shows that we want to watch and hopefully others will as well.
