The night Grace died I begged Adam not to get too hammered. I was feeling a little sick and thought I might be leaving early. I really believe it was just being so nervous of getting caught in this house with all of the drugs. He agreed, and as fate would have it, it was a good thing that he did. It was ten o’clock when Grace made Tony (Her boyfriend) call their dealer to bring more dope by 11pm half the people were so high on X (ecstasy) and heroin.
I still don’t really know what happen but Grace started to foam at the mouth. Some of the kids thought she was playing a joke and began laughing and pointing at her. I knew something was wrong. So did Adam. He yelled out someone call 911. Most of the kids could not move let alone pick up a phone and dial 911. So I pulled out my phone and called.

When the ambulance got there Grace was in convulsions. I am talking about real convulsions, the kind when a person's body moves in ways you don't think are even possible. She was not doing well at all I was so fucking scared, I just felt like running out of the house as fast as I could. Grace eyes would not shut. I could not believe what I was seeing.

This was not going to turn out good at all.
The paramedics arrived within minutes. They began working hard to stabilize her. Two of the guys quickly moved Grace to the ambulance. Another asked. “What was she using?” One of the girls answered, "A few shots, gin I think!" I'll never forget the way the paramedic looked when he heard her answer, "Are you fucking serious, gin my ass!" he muttered as he pulled Adam aside.

Adam was trying so hard to keep his cool they knew he had not called 911, but they were hoping he would tell them the truth, but because he was so afraid he lied too. He stated that he thought Grace may have done a lot drugs but that she was definitely drinking a lot. I was disappointed in Adam but I to was to afraid to say anything myself.
The paramedic left he told us, "Grace is in a very dangerous state and may even die. You can't get her in any more trouble by telling us the truth." It was his last effort to get us to tell the truth. It did not work. No one said a word about the heroin or cocaine. I found out that Grace was looking for a "bigger high" she had used four bags of heroin and three bags of coke within the hour. She was speed balling.
