This page may have been quiet for a little while... but our hardworking cast and production staff have not! We are officially loaded into the Armory Free Theatre for our shows on Friday and Saturday. Scenic designer Sam Sullivan, lighting designer Ian O'Leary and sound designer Kevin Cushman were all hard at work today in the theatre preparing for their respective parts of the show!
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce our production photographer, Adam Dreyfuss, and our graphic designer, Evan Thompson.
Adam Dreyfuss has been a filmmaker and photographer for years. He recently finished and screened his senior thesis film at the University of Illinois, Had He Fidelity (another Kickstarter success story!). Adam is also a longtime friend of mine, so when I asked him to be our production photographer he was more than happy to oblige. His fantastic shots of our cast in character have created excellent ground work for our promotional posters (which some of you, as backers, are entitled to receive after our production is over). One such poster is shown below. More of Adam's work can be found here:
Evan Thompson is studying business process management at the University of Illinois, but his passion lies in visual and audio production. His self-produced OnVermont Recording Studio has turned out recordings of many fantastic local performing artists, including the campus accappella group Xtension Chords. Evan is also a photographer and graphic designer, and he agreed to take on the sizable task of designing our posters. You can see the fantastic result of his work in the sample poster below. Within a couple of days, we will have all of our different promotional posters put up at hot spots around campus, as well as on our Facebook event page. Look out for them if you are in the area! More of Evan's work can be found here:
Our shows are Friday, April 27th at 7:30pm and 11:59pm and Saturday, April 28th at 2:00pm. All of you are, of course, welcome at our Invited Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, April 26th at 8pm if you are not free for performances. If you are entitled to reserved tickets, you should have gotten an email from me a week or so ago; respond to reserve your seats!
Thanks again for your support, and see you this weekend! Best,
