PLOT:In the year 2233, a dark energy is emanating from the forests of Magic Valley bringing into our world dark creatures and evil monsters. Meanwhile the GRIMM Corporation nearly has control of the U.S Government and The Planetary Alliance and seems to be ignoring and maybe even enabling the growing darkness. It's up to one lone R.E.D.D. Agent to defy Grimm forces and fight her way through, Vampires, Werewolves, and Zombies, and get to the center of the forest to confront "The Grandmother", before evil consumes the planet. 

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Redd is going to be pure fun to watch. Every bit of fun that can be had in the action, sci-fi, and horror genres is being instilled in this project. I've found inspiration from Action movies like Die Hard, The Matrix, and The Killer, Comic book movies like Batman and Blade, Sci-Fi movies like Star Wars, Blade Runner, Serenity, and The Fifth Element, Horror movies like The Ring, American Werewolf In London, and Evil Dead, and Fantasy Movies like Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, and Legend, with little nods to Western and Kung Fu movies. It's going to be a fun B-Movie romp for sure, but we're adding in some real character driven drama, witty dialogue, a surprising plot with a few twists, and some endearing, inspiring, and comedic moments.

HOW DOES THIS WHOLE KICKSTARTER THING WORK?
You click back this project, decide how much you want to pledge according to which incentive you want. When we get enough pledges to reach our goal, then we get funded, and you get the incentives. If we do not get enough pledges and we don't reach our goal, then no money is released, and all pledgers walk away without getting charged. It's all or nothing, either we get the full amount or nothing.

In 2010  we worked on getting a 4 minute concept short done. We put it on Youtube in early 2011 and it's been pretty well received. This mimics the action of the first 4 minutes of the feature, but the start of the feature has been greatly improved upon.

I built the Werewolves myself. Actually it was one Werewolf, cost me around $47 and I just multiplied them in editing. I'm actually re-working this scene with some new footage featuring a better designed Werewolf costume. I am  proud to say the following tutorial has been very popular and was featured at INSTRUCTABLES.com.

WHAT'S THE MONEY FOR?

1) Finishing Production - With the funding,  shooting the rest of the movie would only take a couple of months. We'll need to pay the rent for our small studio, materials for the last few Visual FX shots (fake fur, ply wood, duct tape, etc.) and of course feeding the cast and crew.

2) Post Production - We'll need to cover the costs of the Visual FX edits, sound mix, and final score. This means a bunch more external hard drives and software upgrades.  We also need a new graphics card.

3) Fees and Costs - We're going to set up screenings in select venues. We've already been invited to screen at 2 festivals, we plan on screening at many more, and our DVD distribution is ready to go. We need to cover festival fees, duplication, packaging, and shipping costs, as well as costs for minor advertising, posters, flyers, as well the costs of getting those DVD's out to you pledgers. Also need to pay for much needed improvements to our website.

BUT WHAT ARE YOU REALLY TRYING TO DO?
REDD is more than just an attempt at making some over glorified home movie. It's a genuine cinematic effort. When the credits roll you should have a smile on your face saying to yourself "Wow, that was a really good movie." Because I believe the world can't have enough really good movies. And I know I can make at least one, really good one for you. So if you can, please, help me make this one happen.

IS THERE REALLY A WEREWOLF WITH A LASER EYE?
Yes, and we don't mean you'll see a Werewolf in the movie getting laser eye surgery. We feature all kinds of creatures and monsters including several different kinds of Werewolves, one of them will have an eye that shoots a laser out of it. You'll have to wait to watch the movie to see it. Help us make that happen and make a pledge.

We're so close to getting this movie finished for you to see. I'm so very anxious for you to see the full vision I have in my head. I hope to thrill you, entertain you, and take you on a fun cinematic ride.
