"I LARP You" is a sweetly unconventional teen romance set against the medieval customs of Live Action Role Playing. Brian, our hero, must battle as Stongar the Barbarian against the forces of evil king Mauratan to win the hand of his lady love, the ethereal Lady Nemil. Along the way, Brian must conquer the typical teen foibles of angst, hormones, and meeting the girl of his dreams. In a clash of foam swords and magic birdseed, Brian will discover what it is to be a hero, both on and off the field of battle.

Written by award-winning filmmaker Iris K. Shim, and directed by Andrew Ruiz; “I LARP You” is an exploration of one particular corner of geek counter-culture, and the safe spaces we construct to inhabit.

Shooting this summer, "I LARP You" will be the first film for fledgling production company Impossible Protagonist, with an estimated running time of 12 minutes. The Production Team is seeking funds to outfit our cast with the latest in Medieval Larping attire. We're also trying to raise our production budget and finishing costs. Finally, with a bit of luck, your pledge will help us see this film get into festivals and screenings across the country! And, if there's any left over, maybe we'll treat the cast and crew to some ice cream. Doesn't that sound nice?
