Good morrow everyone. I am Thrift Store Talent. I play acoustic/indie/folk music. I have a new album for you, and it wants to be in your iPod. The tracks above are samples of what will be on the album. I hope you like them.
Music belongs to everyone. I don't think it's fair to withhold it from someone just because they can't afford it. That's why I've made the pledges super cheap for this project. I'm even making provisions for those who don't even have $1 to spare, because I care THAT MUCH about getting it to you.
When the album goes live on Bandcamp, iTunes, and other music sites on 8/14, it'll cost $5-$10, so this is a super sweet deal tailored just for YOU. :)
Your pledges will go toward the long hours it takes to record, mix, master, and produce an album of this caliber. There will be no less than 9 tracks in the final cut, and you can listen to all of them knowing that YOU made it happen.
Even though I am making special arrangements for those who can't afford to pledge, please be mindful that if my goal of $250 isn't met, the project doesn't go through. Although I will be using several inexpensive promotional methods, word of mouth is the least expensive and most effective means of exposure. If you tell your friends about the project, they'll be more likely to visit and pledge than if they hear about it in some news article.
If this project is successful, I encourage you to share it with your friends, to burn copies and throw them into crowds of strangers, to spread the sounds any way you want: bittorrent, file hosting, youtube videos. Every bit of support is appreciated.
