About this project

I have decided to self publish the book and form my own production crew to make it happen, including an editor, art and layout people, lawyers,a bookkeeper, a webmaster, and a PR person.

A little less than half the money I need is for the production of the book itself. The people I am working with are offering their services at a greatly reduced or free, but I do have to pay something. The layout people in particular have a large challenge in front of them. In addition to great writing, I want the book to be amazing visually- almost like a really fun text book, so a very visual 250 page lay out is a challenge. I also want the lawyers to do a thorough job and make sure everything is solid, and I want a small budget for PR- I have experience with this and can do a lot of PR with a small amount of money.

The remaining amount of the money (as well as any additional money made) will be invested into as large a first print run of the book as I can make. Some of these will be given to people involved in the project or sent out for review. The rest will be sold online and in book stores and the money made from those sales will be put toward a second print run.

In keeping with the generous nature of the subject matter, a percentage of proceeds of sales of the book (and any related merchandise) will be donated to charity.
