The Happiest Place - Video Memory #1 - Jangothang Basecamp

Here is our first video memory of a special place on our journey, Jangothang Basecamp.
Mount Jomolhari loomed over our basecamp at Jangothang where we acclimatized for a day. At over 24,000 ft (7314m) and Bhutan's 2nd highest peak, she continues to be off-limits to climbers. Her summit marks the border with Tibet. Fresh snow, high winds, and sun have created conditions where avalanches cut loose and scrub her face several times through this day.
For the early riser braving the sub-zero temperatures, we were treated to a kaleidoscope of stars and a breathtaking reveal as the sun rises above the neighboring ridges.
This rest day allowed for many beautiful exchanges, including one with this nomadic woman and her child (available as a print at the $100 reward level)
