Funding is needed to complete a documentary about Wayne Toups' extraordinary life as the most famous Cajun musician of all times.
This is a short preview of the film where we stand now. We have two years of footage but still need many more interviews with colleagues, friends, band mates, and so on.
Editing is the most time consuming part. Hundreds of hours of editing, not to mention shooting, take money. $5,000 should be all I need to complete this project, but it's on the back burner for me, as I'm working on only paying projects right now.
This short preview (5 minutes in length, about) will give you an idea of the direction we're heading. I believe this is such an important film because it highlights the wild man, Wayne Toups, and brings you into his world where he fused Zydeco, Soul, Rock n Roll with Cajun Music and brought it to a plateau never visited.
I think this project will be a smash hit with the locals in Louisiana because they all love Wayne and his music, and this project will open the eyes to the rest of the world as to the life of Wayne Toups, from the man himself.
