Upcounty Theatre is a new community theater dedicated to providing the community an opportunity to experience and engage in dramatic arts.
Upcounty Theatre was formed by friends who have a common experience and passion for theater and recognized the need for a community theater based in Germantown, Maryland. We are committed to producing quality productions for the enjoyment and enrichment of the public, and to providing opportunity to people who want to participate in the dramatic arts.
Upcounty Theatre will provide a place where people of all ages and experience levels can get involved in the exciting activities of dramatic production including: acting, directing, technical directing, house management, advertising and promotion, set design and construction, back stage work, lighting, and sound.
Our first production will be The Dining Room by A. R. Gurney and will be at The Black Rock Center for the Arts ( http://www.blackrockcenter.org ), the premier arts center in Germantown.
We are a not-for-profit organization looking for start up money to get our theater off the ground. So yes, your donations are tax deductible!
Your pledge will help provide a place for people to be part of the dramatic arts and bring quality theater to the community!
