Danny, a 10 year old mischievous genius, attempts to escape from St. Quentin’s Church during Sunday mass to play football with his friends. In order to get out, he’ll need to trick his overbearing parents, avoid the death stare of the nun, and wiggle through a tiny window in the church’s storage room. With his cunning and artful preparation he may have a chance unless unexpected complications sideline him for all eternity…or at least another hour.

ABOUT THE WRITERS:
Tony and I first met in 2nd grade when Sister Claudia seated our class alphabetically. The Peters-Poremski connection stuck through the 6th grade passion play when I played Jesus and he played Peter (the picture still magnetically sealed to my Grandma Peters's refrigerator).
We began writing short scripts about three years ago (most of the stories stemming from our time at Catholic school) and recently came in 3rd place in the Steeltown Film Factory Script Competition and received a prize of $5,000.
Our script was definitely the crowd favorite of the competition and people would approach us after each round saying that they themselves (regardless of religion) had wanted to escape from their church/synagogue/mosque too.
We are young, fresh faces in the local film scene, but we are NOT inexperienced. I created a web series called Collegetown while at film school at Syracuse University and was a videographer for the Pittsburgh Zoo. Currently, I direct and edit all of the in-house video content at the American Eagle headquarters on the South Side. Tony, on the other hand started writing scripts as a hobby, having gone to Ohio University for marketing and business. As a result though, he's our money guy and knows how to get projects funded.
The picture of us in the 6th grade passion play is now accompanied by a picture of the two of us accepting a $5,000 prize for our script. In order to shoot the film (and REALLY make Grandma Peters proud), we need to raise more. That's where you come in...
