Brill, thanks
Creator RC 2 days ago
Hoi Nigel!
I highly suggest sending an E-mail to info@hbs-studios.com and let them know. Make sure you give them the E-mail address(s) you used for both Kickstarter and Paypal when you do. ^_^
I hope this helps!
Ja Mata!

I upgraded my pledge via PayPal but my harebrained-schemes.com account isn't updated to reflect that.
Should it have updated by now or is it in the system somewhere? lol
Creator Asa Swain 3 days ago
William, you are correct. I didn't mean to confuse anyone. My point was that all kickstarter backers (at $15 and above) get the Berlin expansion, whereas the Steam buyers do not.
Creator William Cunningham 3 days ago
Asa, I was under the impression that the 15 dollar level and above was getting the Berlin expansion. Is that not the case?
Creator Pat Estes 4 days ago
Hi HBS! I don't follow the forums very often, and I want to know if your AC got back on! Can you give us another great update on what's happened since the last one? Maybe even talk about what's going on with the game? Something for those of us who want to hear about you, but don't hit the boards a lot...
Creator Lee Sweeney 4 days ago
They could offer the sound track for sale, as it seems many who KS will not get it.

Creator Asa Swain 5 days ago
Demian, don't forget that the $30 kickstarter level also comes with the Berlin expansion, which the Steam preorder does not include (you'd have to purchase the DLC separately). Personally I think the extra content of a second city outweighs not getting the soundtrack.
Creator Nicole Holland 5 days ago
Hey guys this is a good kickstarter I think you should check out: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1402889231/galaxy-defenders-co-op-sci-fi-miniature-board-game
Creator Demian J Morrisroe 5 days ago
Question: The $30 reward tier says it comes with the anthology, but it does not seem to include the soundtrack (which isn't mentioned until the $50/$60 tiers). The $31.49 "deluxe" pre-order on Steam says it includes both the anthology AND the soundtrack. Sure, the $30 kickstarter reward comes with the "SPECIAL ABILITY only available to backers" and the "IN-GAME DocWagon benefit," but I think I'd rather have the soundtrack. So, should I just give my kickstarter code to a friend and pre-order the deluxe version on Steam, or do $30-tier backers actually get the soundtrack included? I realize that the planned rewards and different preorder versions were compiled months apart, and this is just a minor oversight, but I'd love to get a clarification before the Steam pre-order discount ends, just in case. Thanks in advance.

Mitch posted this about Early Access to the Editor yesterday and we thought we'd share it here, too, for folks who aren't tracking the forums:
Sorry for the delay folks but it looks like it's going to be a bit longer (maybe a week or more) before we can get the editor out to Early Access Backers. The issue is that most of our focus with the editor has been on creating the Seattle campaign. As we began the work to allow community created content integration, we discovered that several modules of the editor were hard-wired to work only for us. In order to make them available to you, we have to re-wire the architecture a bit. Thanks for your patience. We'll let you know as soon as we have a new release date.
Creator Harebrained Schemes LLC on May 10
Hey, Joel - You're probably right. Please email Brian at brian@hbs-studios.com and he'll help you straighten it out.
Thanks!
Creator Joel Segerbäck on May 9
I think the issue is that I had selected the $50 Digital tier, but pledged $60, and it seems like that automatically updated my reward to the $60 in Harebrained's system?
Creator Russell Brown on May 9
Do we know when in June SRR will release? Early, mid, late?
Creator Harebrained Schemes LLC on May 9
Hey, Joel - Hm. That's interesting. You can double check your HBS Account by following these steps:
Go to: https://account.harebrained-schemes.com/
Click on:
- My Account
- Order History
- Click the little icon that is a piece of paper with a magnifying glass
- You will see all the saved information
Note: You will see the name of the file not the image itself.
IMPORTANT: if you click on the link to update or change, it will erase it all and start over.
If you have any questions after that, you can email us at info@hbs-studios.com
Creator Joel Segerbäck on May 9
Weird, I got an e-mail I need to fill out the Doc Wagon card and T-shirt size stuff, but as far as I can tell I selected an all digital reward.
Creator Brent Shirkey on May 8
@Veav
Oh, I agree entirely. I just don't think one can make the case that barely anyone is missing out.
Creator Veav on May 8
Two-thirds of the backers who had the reward tiers in front of 'em last year and made a decision. People would get cheesed off if HBS removed things from the promised rewards, let's play fair and not demand they start adding things. :/
Creator Brent Shirkey on May 7
@John Weaver
Not to be pedantic, but between those two levels, that's two thirds of the backers.
Creator John Weaver on May 7
I am already receiving that as part of my rewards. It looks like only the 30 and 15 levels are not getting the music and only the 15 are not getting the Anthology. So not like all that many are missing out.
Creator Veav on May 7
@cyx Eh, my continued goodwill doesn't require bribes.
Creator cyxceven on May 6
There is a chance to cement goodwill with backers if everyone here receives the "deluxe" version being sold on Steam right now for 30 bucks.
Creator James on May 6
@Nekatar Also, I'm sure they'll be on ebay shortly after they're released.
Creator Veav on May 6
@Nekator I think they've locked those rewards down at this point, both to keep exclusive rewards exclusive and so they don't have to keep managing/adjusting the production run during their crunch. I'm sure there'll be more swag down the line though!
Creator Veav on May 6
@Fighting Torchlight seems to have done all right on the $20 price point. They know what they're doing (and don't have to push as many units to break even, thanks to us).
Creator Nekator on May 5
i was wondering.. is there any way to get the cards or the usb stick seperately (since i couldn´t raise my pledge anymore) ?
also if i´m allowed to do a bit advertising - if you are interested in another strategical Kickstarter project, maybe take a look at Full Controls try on the Jagged Alliance franchise - JA: Flashback.
They´re an independent team and very open minded to the wishes of the community.. and a modern Jagged Alliance would just rock :)

Creator FightingFurball on May 5
Hm... isn't the price point a bit low?
Wouldn't it have been better to start with a 40$ or 30$ price point so you could have lowered it over time or have more flexibilty in discounts at sales?
Creator Matt Seidl on May 3
Preloading on Steam doesn't strike me as especially necessary for a game like this... I mean, it's not like it's going to be 20GB.
Creator LC Roman on May 2
I had to comment on the Amazing Customer Service you guys provide. I wrote a e-mail last night, I am only a $15 backer (I would consider me lest important then others), and I expected a few days before I heard anything back. but today, I get a personalized e-mail a few hours into the business day, answering my questions and giving me tips for problems I didn't even realize I might have. I know you guys have to be busy, which made me blow away at the quick response and friendly, informative e-mail from Robin.
I don't come to kickstarter often, But I had to sign in and spread the good word about Robin and your whole operation has a whole. This has been by far the most pleasant and rewarding project I ever backed and that was the best customer service experience I ever had, no exaggeration.
Creator Harebrained Schemes LLC on May 2
Yes, Steam keys will be given when we launch. We won't be sending them out earlier because we need the team to concentrate on finish the game. Even a seemingly small task of sending out Steam keys can distract from getting to the finish line. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
Creator GhanBuriGhan - WOOS Wose on May 2
Dave, my understanding is that that is mostly a design decision that is largely consistent with the P&P shadowrun games (and probably with the old SNES games, I haven't played those myself though, so this is hearsay). As you are playing something akin to illegal commandos in shadowrun that go on missions (runs) the emphasis is on preparing ahead of time: "if the going gets tough, the tough go shopping". In the universe a lot of stuff, including credits and weapons is also personalized and ID protected, so looting it makes no sense, IIRC (been a couple of years since I last played the P&P game). However, HBS also stated that it's a compromise due to the limited development time and resources. But one that makes sense given the above.
According to the FAQ they technically can make bodies drop loot, but generally use it only for quest or plot items, like keys.
Regarding inventory it seems to be a limited inventory, with limited slots, e.g. for weapons.
inofficial FAQ: http://www.shadowrun.com/forums/discussion/25197/shadowrun-returns-faq-unofficial
Creator Miika K. Ahonen on May 2
Was just saying that it's kinda odd for Kickstarter people to get their keys so "late" when others can get theirs right now by pre-purchasing at Steam. Well, not really, but theirs gets registered even if they aren't exactly given it by the system yet.
Creator Dave blanchard on May 1
So, um read a preview that there will be no looting of corpses in the game?? Anyone know why? Does that mean there isn't a inventory system??
Creator Veav on April 30
I pre-ordered Metro Last Light from GMG and they haven't given me my keys yet either, even though it's up on the store page. It doesn't mean anything. :P
Creator Darkangel on April 30
From update 50:
When do I get my rewards?
◾ Your DIGITAL rewards (the game, the editor, the wallpaper, special ability, the soundtrack, the short story anthology PDF, etc) will all be available on the Harebrained Account Website on launch day.
From the above, i guess if not sooner, steam keys will be given on launch day. And to the general public the game is not on steam yet, just the preorder for it. Maybe alfa or beta testers are using it tough.
Creator Miika K. Ahonen on April 30
The game's on Steam now but we (or just I) haven't received key for it. Some sort of delay in that or what? I haven't been able to locate any information on when they'll be delivered either.
Creator Veav on April 30
Most Kickstarters that do that make it a reward tier, and not all Kickstarters do it - SR:R just falls elsewhere on the venn diagram of game development. And not passing out beta access beforehand does not constitute a disaster in the making, no matter how badly we'd like to play. Srsly, relax!
Creator Industrial Scribe on April 30
I'm so used to Kickstarters trying to save money on test teams that backers get a BETA month to give it time to improve. Even if it is only to mass test vertical slices.
They have our money so it can't be that they are scared we won't buy it.
Only thing I can think of why they wouldn't use a free resource is that we may be under another Microsoft license condition or they are going to release another Aliens:Colonial Marines and don't want a bad review before they have sold enough pre-orders.
Guess we will wait and see like the general public.
Creator Veav on April 30
There is early access to the level editor (for $250 tiers and above), but I think they'll distribute that through their site instead of steam to avoid hassles. I like Steam keys too but there won't be any sort of preloading going on for the next month - relax. :)
Creator Jonathan Watts on April 30
What backer closed beta? I don't recall them saying anything about a beta for SR:R (perhaps you're thinking of Shadowrun Online, which will have a backer-only beta phase)?
Creator Industrial Scribe on April 30
So this game is up on steam NOW. Is it possible to get our Steam codes sent out so we can add the PRE-LOAD command to our accounts. (I remember Legend of Grimrock did this and it was quite handy) any news on when the Backer closed BETA starts and what forms/format you want us to use for bug reporting?
Creator Darkangel on April 29
Is that a street samurai i see covered in steam? why, yes it is!
Creator Harebrained Schemes LLC on April 27
Smokejaguar - We haven't figured out our plans for PAX Prime yet but since it's in our backyard, it's possible we'll be there.
Richard - You should be fine. We haven't started sending shipping info out yet.
Creator Richard Eaton on April 27
I totally dropped the ball and forgot to fill out my rewards information until today. :(
I hope that doesn't make too much of a delay in shipping the physical goods.
Creator smokejaguar01 on April 27
This looks so fantastic and I can't wait for this! Great job all around. Question for you guys: Are there any plans you guys to attend PAX Prime this year? Some friends and I are going back there this year and I think it would be great if you guys went there and displayed Shadowrun. It's a fantastic convention if you haven't gone to it before.
Creator Alex Major on April 26
You guys are doing the game I wished to have and play. That Matrix bit is looking just....just...perfect. Keep doing it, I just might buy that game twice or thrice. Take your time, I'll be there when you get there.
Creator adam skidmore on April 26
its official. I pledged for this game a full year ago!
Creator wes rowlands on April 23
That cyberpunk card set looks neat. Sadly i'm broke until next week.
Creator John Idlor on April 23
If anyone is interested in another great steampunk project, you should check out the current Albino Dragon playing card deck. They only have about 48 hours left. The project link is:

Creator Bradley Eng-Kohn on April 23
There is a kickstarter for a deck of cards with a very Shadowrun vibe ending in about two days. It is at http://kck.st/10gN2Nk (or search for Synthesis Cyberpunk)
I'm a backer, and I really think the face cards are amazing.
