PROJECT DETAILS: As many of you know, it’s been over 3 years since we recorded and released our self-titled E.P., leaving many of you wondering “what happened to Soulajar"???

Well, we're happy to say that Soulajar hasn’t gone anywhere. In fact, we’ve been quite busy writing and recording the songs for our debut album called “Pipe Dream”. These songs have been in the works for some time now! After spending nearly 8 years writing, and 2 years recording, we finally have a batch of songs that we think are worthy of our full-length debut.

So, we're here because WE NEED YOUR HELP... Here’s how it works… You pick out a stunning prize package on the right hand side of your screen, pledge that amount to the project, Kickstarter then swipes your credit card. Then if, and only if, we receive enough pledges to meet our goal within the allotted time frame, the transaction goes through, you receive that stunning prize package, and we get to release the record!

The donated funds will go towards completing the recording and process, master the album, print the CD’s, press to vinyl records, upload to digital sites such as iTunes and Amazon.com, and then advertise, promote, and distribute the whole thing!

CONCEPT OF THE ALBUM, "PIPE DREAM": A pipe dream is a fantastic notion, hope, or story that is usually impossible to achieve. Soulajar’s Pipe Dream is located somewhere between hope and regret. We as a society have been rudely awaken from our dreams, only to find it was some sort of lexical riddle; something so wonderful yet unattainable. Our plans for our futures have been dashed; people out of work, losing their homes, retirements gone, and investments disintegrated into a future that was intangible and unattainable. This pain allows us to see more clearly the fabric of our lives, not what society manufactured for our dreams...

But each new day’s sun brings change... Let your pipe dream be where you are now! Love wholly, live beautifully and rejoice in life’s moments. Spend more time with your family, make more love to your wife, strike up conversations with strangers, and be happy and faithful in a world with no control. The pipe dream is now. It is our story, it is your story.
