We’re just over two weeks away from our first public performance. That statement is both exciting and a little nerve-wracking: rehearsals are going very well, and we’ll have a great show ready for you, but occasionally I wish I had just a little more time.
In the rehearsal hall we’ve created a mockup of the set using boxes, tape on the floor, handy furniture – anything available that we can call into use. The set itself is being built in our scene shop in preparation for load-in later this week. I’ll post photos of that process when it happens – it’s an exciting indication that everything’s coming together when we start rehearsing on the actual set.
The actors are working hard to achieve wonderful performances; our playwright, Jonathan Marc Feldman, continues to tweak the script as we uncover nuances; and our dramaturg, Karen Altree Piemme, is ensuring continuity and historical accuracy.
Thanks to all of you for your pledges – the total has been growing steadily. Consider helping us in another way: spread the word to a wider audience. If you haven’t yet, post something to your Facebook page, write to your blog, comment on a message board, or send an e-mail to your personal contacts. Ask your friends to share or forward your messages so that they’re seen by even more people. And be sure to let everyone know that we have great rewards for our backers.

Thanks again for your support, and I’ll post another update soon.
