Hello MUNCHAUSEN family, friends and partners.

I apologize for the much delayed update. We have been fighting through the post production phase of the film but we are now looking closely at the finish line. We had the amazing support of the Academy of Arts San Francisco which was generous in supporting the film by providing the VFX work. This work will be fully completed by early next week. We are now focusing primarily on finishing the score which has taken quite  a bit of work due to the level of importance that it carries for the success of the film. We have been really meticulous and have tried many approaches. We are on a great role right now and we are contemplating having a finished temp score by early March and a fully recorded one by end of that month.

I am attaching a preview sample of the film and the score. Please excuse the resolution and note that the film is also not color corrected at this point. Know that we are feeling good and genuinely excited about the work thus far and we sincerely hope you find that we are heading in the right direction and one you had hoped for.

FESTIVAL SUBMISSIONS: Our next step is to begin submitting the piece to film festivals such as Cannes (early March submission) and Venice. The submission to the fall festivals such as NY Film Festival and AFI Fest will follow. 

PLEDGE PRIZES: We are incredibly late in our pledge prizes but we are very much committing on resolving the matter in March when we aim to have a fully finished project.

EVERY ADDITIONAL PLEDGE TO OUR CAMPAIGN HELPS IMMENSELY IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING THE FILM BECAUSE IT CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GETTING THE DREAM LOCATION VS A REALLY GOOD ONE FOR EXAMPLE.

IT CAN MAKE AN IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT WE PUT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AS WELL. IT ALLOWS THE ART DEPARTMENT, THE COSTUME DEPARTMENT MORE BREATHING ROOM AND THE CREATIVE CHOICES CAN BE CURATED EVEN BETTER.

SAME GOES FOR THE ABILITY TO MAKE THE SHOT LIST EVEN MORE EPIC OR REFINING THE SOUND MIX AND THE SFX FOR THE FILM. 

ANY ADDITIONAL FUNDS WILL BE USED IN A SMART, CREATIVE WAY TO FINESSE THE FILM AND ENHANCE THE VIEWING EXPERIENCE FOR AN AUDIENCE (THAT ALSO MEANS YOU :)
