About this project

Treble Entendre plans to stage a workshop production with audience talk-backs in New York City as part of the development process for Dogboy & Justine a new musical about life, love, and head injuries. The show is set in a house of domination in New York City and tells the story of the women who work there and the different lives they lead on and off the job.

One half of Treble Entendre is Erica Kudisch, a NYC-based composer and
coloratura soprano with a BA from Vassar College and an MA from
the University of Pittsburgh. She'll be doing music and lyrics for Dogboy & Justine and also collaborating on the book, which is making its transition from a short play to a full-length musical.

The other half of Treble Entendre is Racheline Maltese. She's the author of the short play that started this project and will also be directing. Her training includes the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School (NYC) and the National Institute of Drama Art (Sydney, Australia).

Our budget for this project includes the cost of renting rehearsal rooms and a theater for the ultimate production; making sure our actors, musicians and crew receive stipends (we may all do this for the love, but Treble Entendre believes that artists deserve to be rewarded for their work); costumes, sets, and promotional costs.

Right now, we're in the midst of developing the Treble Entendre website featuring information on both Dogboy & Justine and our other projects, including Inception: The Musical and Key Change. You can also find us on Twitter @TrebleEntendre.
