About this project
Liars Fires and Bears, follows one little girl's adventure as she struggles to get back to her brother, after being sent to live with new parents. With the help of an immature, drunk, named Dave and street smarts that rival Tupac, she manages to convince Dave to ride shotgun in a stolen car, past the point of no return. The film will expand and build upon the award winning short "Sad Story". It will offer a funny, exciting, emotional, journey with a mismatched pair and the colorful characters they encounter on their way.
We have an amazing group of filmmakers assembled, that are enthusiastically donating their time and expertise for free. On top of that we have the equipment needed and the experience to handle all the crazy problems productions can and will throw at us. However, some things can't be done without money. This Kickstarter is intended to help raise funds for things such as props, costumes, top of the line production and post production sound, permits, etc. Making a feature length film for under 100,000 dollars sounds crazy to most filmmakers, but we have most of the expenses taken care of. We just need your help to get over the inevitable expenses along the way.
Every bit definitely helps. We want the final product to match our vision and be the best film it can be. With the work of the varied talent (actors, sound, cinematographer, costumier, hair, make up, designers, art department and more) and your contribution, we know this exciting project will have a bright future. The film is currently set to begin principal photography in January with the bulk of filming to take place in January and Feburary.
Regular updates will keep everyone in the loop and show what progress is being made on the film. Behind the scenes pictures and frames from the film will be made available.

Jeremy Cloe, a Las Vegas Filmmaker, and UNLV graduate has been working full time as an editor and cameraman since 2005. During his time at UNLV he made a dozen short films, which went on to numerous festivals, winning him several awards including, best director, best short film, audience choice award, and best screenplay. He was also presented with the Emerging Filmmaker Award two years in a row by the Cinevegas film festival. Jeremy has created original music videos, for bands such as Afghan Raiders, Kid Meets Cougar, and Gold Boot. Currently Jeremy is working on several music videos at different stages and is in pre production on his first feature length film, scheduled to be shooting in January 2011.
