Photo-main

When We Were Little (Working Title) is a coming of age story. In it, Sarah's ideals are questioned and she is forced to face them.

When We Were Little

"When We Were Little" is a story about growing up as Sarah, a young girl, deals with her first romance, as she becomes romantically involved with a young boy named Evan who steals her science project. In the film, Sarah is forced to decide what type of person she will ultimately become when she grows up - whether she will retain her childhood innocence or start manipulating people to get what she wants like her older sister.

Budget

"When We Were Little" is coming to kickstarter looking for the final half of its funding. The film originally was going to be shot in 16mm film for its aesthetic; however, it was later decided that it is going to be shot on the Red Epic camera instead due to the possibilities the camera's latitude presents in post production and economics.

The film has a total budget somewhere between $5,000-$6,000, but our goal on Kickstarter is $2,950.  The total budget largely covers camera rentals, insurance, locations, shipping, vfx work, and some light and grip rentals. The rest of the budget is going towards sets and props, transportation, transcoding, storage, and festival submissions.

Of course, the more we get from kickstarter, the more will be able to use towards our project and maybe even help show our thanks to the talented cast and crew working on this project.

CAST & CREW:

The film stars both Cassady McClincy as Sarah and Max River as Evan. They have both done numerous commercials and plays. They have worked with each other in the past, which should make their characters' chemistry easier to come alive on screen.

Matthew Antonino, a high school senior at the Interlochen Arts Academy, is the writer and director of the project. He is teaming up with his close friend Jay Fung, who is the producer and director of photography of the project. Greg Perlman is the assistant director of the project.

The film features the music of Anne Malin, a songwriter at the Interlochen Arts Academy, whose warm style is perfect for this type of film   http://www.facebook.com/annemalinmusic

Max River was recently in a short, which entered the film festival circuit this year and played at Cannes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI7fAf8d_Ho&feature=player_embedded
