Victor and Heather are from two different worlds. They will discover that in life and love, tapping out is not an option.
FIGHTING SPIRIT is an inspirational tale about love and the human spirit to fight and to hope. It is the story of Victor “El Leon” Roblez, a humble, young, MMA fighter on the rise who is recruited by a professional fighting company. Things get complicated when Flower, a no-nonsense nurse, hires him to model for her patient Heather, a young, wealthy, painting prodigy diagnosed with Lymphoma, to help her paint once more before she dies.
At first, their interactions are hostile, but ultimately Heather and Victor begin an innocent romance. Despite their love for one another, Heather’s terminal illness becomes an obstacle that they both must face, all while Victor is preparing for his debut fight against a previous opponent who holds a grudge against Victor. Victor and Heather’s faith and fighting spirit will be put to the test as they each struggle to find reasons for doing what they love despite the challenges.
Your Support: This film is the collaboration of a lot of local talent both in front of the camera and behind. While we would love to pay these professionals what they’re truly worth, we simply don’t have those resources. However, your contribution will help us tremendously with the following:
- Equipment Rental: We will have some equipment (cameras, lights, microphones, etc), but renting equipment we don’t have will significantly increase the value of our production.
- Food: Shooting tends to be a long process. Feeding our cast and crew helps immensely.
- Soundtrack: We want to create a mood for our film, not just visually but also with a beautiful soundtrack with songs and an acoustic score.
Any and all help we receive will be used only for this project. Please help make this an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. We promise to leave the audience with a sense of hope and a desire to fight for your dreams and the ones you love.
