Update #14: Latest Revview for the Internet!
Hey backers! Another great review for The Internet by Will Fulton! He says many great things about the show and calls us all kinds of nice things like "brave"(!) and "intelligent" (!) and gives us accolades on how we " show the intimate understanding of the generation that has grown up alongside and inside (the internet)" (yay!!!) ! We are super excited for this positive attention and humbled by the support of our audience! It was so exciting to see and meet some of you at the show and so encouraging to see your smiling faces there :) For those of you who still have yet to make it, there are three more chances to see The Internet at the Incubator Arts Project! Don't miss our performances tonight at 8 p.m. and tomorrow at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.!
Check out the full nytheatre.com review here: http://www.nytheatre.com/nytheatre/showpage.php...
Also, Chase Voorhees took some amazing production photos of the show! Here is a sneak peak at some of them, and you can definitely check them out on our facebook page!

Update #9: Last Week of Pledging and...
Wow. We have exceeded our goal and pledges are still coming. With less than a month to opening at the Incubator Arts Project, THE INTERNET. seems to be coming together nicely. We have officially hit "hardcore" mode in our rehearsals and Teddy and Chase seems to be really clicking in terms of design ideas ( we're now painting the floor and back wall white !!! and its going to require a lot of man power!!) Lindsay has finished teaching and choreographing all of the dance numbers- and its now a matter of mashing everything together. Ahhhhhh. Yes. I know. Hardcore.
I've just recorded this second the first of the many "thank you/update/vloggy type" videos ( with presents! and fire! ) our backers will be receiving from various ETG members and the cast. We are extremely humbled and gracious for all of the support we have gotten for this project. We know our friends who donated work very hard for their money and we're so touched by your support. You inspire us to keep our stuff together and keep working hard. We're really excited for you to see this show- and how it will develop in the coming weeks.
With gratitude,
ETG
P.S Special Thanks to backer Rachel Oakley and special thanks to backer David Flowers :)
Update #8: YAY!
Thanks to you all, we have SURPASSED our funding goal with 10 days to go!!! Just wanted to send a quick thank you- we'll be sending over a video update soon- but the good news is really overwhelming and we're all super happy and excited! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love our backers!!!

Update #7: So...Close
Wow. 12 days to go and $287 to raise? I hope we can do it! We are so excited we are THIS close. We need your help now more than ever to spread the word along! Each $1 counts- as you know.
Thank you so much to our donors this past week, we guys are all so amazing! And welcome to the club of exclusive updates for our backers!
This week we have some rehearsal photos for you below. Choreographer Lindsay Mack has been putting our performers through craziness for the past two weeks and they are all getting their butts kicked for sure. The dancing combined with the summer heat has been making the entire company sweat- but they are getting some rock hard abs as a result for sure :) And don't worry- they've been getting a lot of water breaks! On July 15th we have our designer showing to our co-sound designer Brendan Byrne and lighting designer and co-founder of ETG, Teddy Nicholas. After that, we'll be plugging in text and blocking in the transitions. Chase is just finishing up the rough cuts of the video- and we should have some more sampling of that for you soon as well!
Thank you so much again for your support. As we gear toward crunch time, know that you are always in our thoughts and we appreciate you!!!!!!

Update #5: 50% to our Goal and some hot photos!
Thanks to all of our awesome backers we are now a little over 50% of our goal! But remember-- we don't get ANY of these funds unless we meet our goal- so please help us spread the word around! We are so thankful this week to the lovely and hillarious Jocelyn Henjum, the amazing Chad Burgess, the sexy Eric Mendoza and the best theater professor in the world, Diane Timmerman. Your support is what keeps us going!
We've increased our rehearsal time this week and the cast has been working so hard learning choreography. We've worked on a male "Dream Girls" style dance for "Dancing In the Streets" as well as a group number to "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" that both convey that sense of joy and wealth of information that the internet can bring. The energy in the room is still extremely positive- and everyone seems to be (in addition to getting a hardcore workout) enjoying themselves.
Also as promised- this week we share with you a sneak peak at a select few photos from our pre-show press photo call this week. Let us know what you think!
(all photos taken by Chase Voorhees)
love, ETG
Update #4: Amazing!
Hey everyone! Woaaaaaaah. Our numbers have grown so much this last week! We're completely amazed by your kindness. We bow down to you!
Seriously though- big thanks to our donors this week- the talented Chris Masullo, Timothy, Benjamin Rento, Rosa Soy, the amazing Kris Imperati, Goddess Barbara E., Leah's old roomie from college LINDY RIDER (!!!!!), wonderful actress Nikki Dillon, Jennifer, poker master Will Bashelor, Chole Rento and fellow theater company Sponsored by Nobody ( who is also using Kickstarter to fundraiser- check out their project!)
Rehearsals are going smoothly. Although it can be chaotic trying to fuse together text, music and movement ( with a choreographer, writers, various designers, and a combination of classically trained dancers, street performers and mover-actors) we're staying organized ( thanks to our incredible stage manager Blair) and we're all having fun developing the piece and fusing things together.
AS ETG is gearing up for week 2 of rehearsals, we've been planning a photo call with some hot dancers and performers that should be on the web soon for your viewing pleasure.
In the meantime, here is a video of actor Dan Whalen tearing it up during pre-rehearsal warm up ;)

Update #3: Rehearsal Tomorrow and Video!
Hey everyone! Thanks again for your support! We're over half way there to our 50% mark so keep spreading the word and keep those pledges coming :)
We're currently gearing up for our second rehearsal with the full cast.
Right now we're workshopping found/written texts to flesh out the main themes that we want to tackle.
To give you an idea of how much fun we're having/what might be doing , here is a quick rehearsal video of last Saturday!
Enjoy!
And thanks again!
Shoutouts to the handsome Jason O and the lovely Claire S!

Update #2: Wowow!
WOWOWOW! THANK YOU to everyone who has pledged these past couple of days. You are all AMAZEBALLS and we sincerely appreciate how generous you have been!
Shout outs to Ryoko Winkler ( Arigato! Daisuki dayo!), Abigail, Michael, Susan, Mr. Kerns, Bob Rento and Julie Wunderlin!
Also, JULIE WUNDERIN- YOU ARE A GODDESS for helping spread the word around about our little show!
We had an amazing first rehearsal on Saturday with our core cast of actors and dancers. Lots of interesting things are currently being discovered---such as---to name a few---
:) :( :p :-> ;) the physicality of emoticons!
the shadows of pornography and desire!
our voyeuristic tendencies!
and more!
There is so much positive energy talent in the rehearsal room already! Video and photos to follow but seriously. Ahhh. This is going to be awesome!
We were introduced also to our primary rehearsal space, Union Street Dance, which is absolutely GORGEOUS. Fellow Artists, if you need an affordable and spacious rehearsal space in Brooklyn -check it out at http://www.evadeandance.org/
Alright! Today we leave you with a song we're using in our show. Don't Stop Til You Get Enough! Woooo!
