Dear friends and strangers,
I'm making a new record and need your help. I began recording this May but am going to need some help in ensuring a finished product - my hopes and what still needs to be done are overdubs, mixing, mastering, pressing to vinyl and adding some beautiful artwork. It's a collection of 9 folk songs on guitar. This group of songs is extremely personal and important to me, and represents a great leap of faith in writing for me... I would like to be able to present them to the world in the best way possible!
The video above is of the song "All Ye Faithful" which will go on the record (it's from a performance I did from a broadcast for CCTV in Cambridge, MA last August... thank you to Marissa for the footage).
Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and noted. I've set up some exciting things that will come your way once the project succeeds... rather than sending you silly memorabilia relating to myself, I would like to send you things that might get used and treasured... (field guides anyone? folk records?) These are some of my favorite things...
Some details about the project: its being recorded in a home studio here in Portland with a friend, low-maintenance and cozy style. So far most of the basic tracks are done & I will update this section as progress gets made... Again, anything you can do would be wonderful.
