Update #2
We have 9 days and counting! We need your help to get the word out about On Richmond's Wheel.
Kickstarter is a great way to share a creative effort. It's concept is not only to give an opportunity to the artist, author in this case, to raise funds to help the the expenses of the project, but also to promote the project.
A goal of $4500 is set as a starting goal and we met that goal with all your support. You see, kickstarter is a all or nothing concept and you want to make sure you make at least the initial goal or you do not get any funding. So, again, $4500. is a starting goal, but not a stopping goal.
So we have 9 more days left and we would like your help to get the word out and encourage people to come here, look at the project detail and consider contributing. Remember $20.+ buys the book, $50.+ buys the book and you get a very cool t-shirt, $100.+ allows all of the above, plus become a patron, $200.+, allows all the above but you become a major patron and 300.+ you become a major patron and Richmond's own National Champion, Ben King signs your book and some proceeds go to Ben King's charity.
We appreciate all those who have encouraged and supported this book. We are excited about it because it truly sheds light on the culture of cycling in Richmond. Please share this site with your friends. http://kck.st/OYWmRT
Dear Friends:
I am humbled and excited by the response to my book project, On Richmond's Wheel, on kickstarter. We are reaching our goals as we look towards our October release of my book. All who have supported me, both monetarily and through encouragement, will always be a part of the history of this book.
Our next "stretch" goal is to reach $7000. This will help with the cost of the t-shirts, and for
marketing purposes.
Hopefully in the next few days we can provide you with a sample of the
On Richmond's Wheel t-shirt, which is being designed by Phil Robb from Cutaway
Clothing. This will give some of
you an opportunity to upgrade your reward if you desire, before the August 31st
deadline. We would also like to add more patrons and major patrons to our
list, as this is a history book and when you and/or your team or company is
listed, you become a part of that history forever.
As always, the $20. Reward option is a way to pre-order a signed copy of “On Richmond’s Wheel.”
