Oh Hi!

We are very excited to announce our directional debut at The Nottingham New Theatre as part of the new and exciting "Uncut" season. The Uncut season is all about creative and innovative theatre which can be set ANYWHERE in Nottingham, rather than being confined to a theatre stage. Our contibution to the season is 2 performances of Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit" in a balconied library on the campus of Nottingham University.

This is an amazing oppurtunity that we have both worked really hard to get, and can't wait for rehersals to begin. We have an absolutely fabulous cast, consisting of:

• Lyle Fulton as Garcin
• Harriet Davis as Estelle
• Page Phillips Harrington as Inez
• James Pardon as the Valet

And have the help and support many others, including our wonderful publicity manager Rory O'Shea.

But we need your help in turning this show into a reality!

In order to pay for royalties, costumes, publicity and other theatery things, we need to raise at least £150 by the date of our first show - 26th of November.

THIS IS LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY!!!

Please please help us in any way you can, even just a few pounds will be really appreciated.

Also, if you want to come and see our show (please), the performances are 26th and 27th of November in Lincoln Library on University Park Campus, Nottingham, at 7pm. Tickets are around £3 (TBC) and can be bought on the door!

The Play

"No Exit" is a dark, mysterious, and strangely funny play about three people who one by one are brought into 'hell'. Knowing they are dead, and that they have comminted a variety of sins in thier lives, they are suprised to find that hell is no more than a badly furnished living room.

The audience watch in darkeness from above, on a balcony that surrounds the entire room, as events unfold. Tensions build, and both conflicts and lusty affections are shown. Eventually, after lesbian advances, moral conffesions, brooding about the part and future, attempted murder, and a lot of worrying about the lack of a toothbrush and a mirror, the complicated dynamic of the three characters makes them realise that hell isn't a physical place.  Instead, they realise 'hell' is eternity in other peoples company, and there is no exit!
