Hello Internet!

This is the band Soft Location.  We play the music that you love when it's spring and summer at the same time and we have lots of new songs to record this spring.    

In 2004 we recorded an album with the talented Christopher Fachini called "Diamonds & Gems."  In 2007 it was released on vinyl by Michael Troutman on Senseless Empire Records and on CD by Muddy Mitten.

Over the past 5 years we have gotten tremendous positive feedback from folks about the album, and after various other projects the timing just felt right to go back into the studio.  

This spring we are recording at High Bias studios with Chris Koltay and we are asking for your help to pay for the recording sessions.  

The money will go towards the studio time and travel costs (Matt is flying in from NYC and Ben is traveling from the west side of Michigan).  

Once the album is mixed and mastered, we hope to find a label to release it on vinyl.  It's amazing that things like Kickstarter exist now to find new ways to support creative projects.  We are so thankful for your support!

Our project goal only covered part of our recording expenses.  Thanks to your support, we are now making exciting plans for mixing & mastering, another incredibly important and costly part of making an album.  So donations that exceed our goal are still going to the record!!  Just wanted you to know that.
