Update #7: CD Release Concert Planned

Posted on February 14

Dear Friends,

Our CD, titled What A Way To Worship, is now in post-production and should be delivered to us in just a few more weeks! We believe that we'll be getting your CDs in the mail sometime in April. Watch for a "survey" to come your way that will ask for your current mailing address so that we can get the final product to you promptly.

There's a couple more exciting things to let you all know about as we plan for the CD release. On Monday, April 9, we are scheduled to appear on a live radio program, The Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee, which airs live on Praise 96.3 FM Knoxville, TN. The show takes place at Ogle Furniture Outlet on Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville, TN beginning at 6:30. We are planning to share a few songs from the new project. Everyone is welcome to attend for an evening of free refreshments, give-aways and more.

On Wednesday, April 25, we are planning a special CD release concert at First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge. The evening concert will be part of a revival being held that week. The church is located at 3290 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, TN. Please come and be with us!

In the meantime, visit our new facebook fan page to keep up with more upcoming events - and make sure you click "Like" - http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Michael-Frost-Trio/266172240121517?sk=wall

Update #6: New CD nearing completion!

Posted on January 30

Dear Friends,

We are getting very excited as the recording process nears completion. There is one more day scheduled for vocals, then the project moves into post-production. Once the final mix is done, the CD heads out to the duplicators - and then on it's way to you!

We will be choosing a song from the CD to send out to radio in the coming weeks, and we would like to offer previews to get your feedback on what should go to radio first! We will post previews to this blog once they are ready.

Also, be watching for a message in the upcoming days asking you for your address and contact information so that we can get the product sent out to the right place.

In the meantime, enjoy a clip of Jen Frost recording "More of You, Less of Me," one of 12 songs on the CD.

Blessings to all of you,

Michael Frost, Jen Frost, Amy Bebout

Update #5: The recording process has begun!

Posted on January 13

Dear supporters,

It has begun! We spent two days in the studio this week with amazing musicians laying down the tracks for the new project. The CD is being produced by Shane Roark at Chapel Valley Studios in Sharps Chapel, TN.

I have to say, as a songwriter, there's nothing more exciting than hearing musicians bring my songs to life. This group of musicians has played on hundreds of records over the years in various genres. We have Tony Dingus on steel and dobro, Shane Roark on piano and organ, David Castle on electric guitar, Burton Akers on bass, Jonathan Presnell on drums, Greg English on acoustic guitar, mandolin and banjo, and Travis Roark as engineer.

We are taking a leap forward with more progressive and contemporary sounds. Our style of "southern gospel" will bring Motown, Jazz, Country and even Black Gospel influences.

For this CD, I had written 16 brand new songs and also picked 4 songs from my old catalogue for consideration. From that list of 20, we finally narrowed it down to 12 songs. The project, titled What A Way To Worship, will also feature one a cappella number, "Pray A Little Longer."

The song list reads like this:

1) What A Way To Worship

2) Love You Just The Same

3) God Gives

4) Choose Life

5) In The Arms of Mercy

6) Christian On A Mission

7) More of You, Less of Me

8) Someone To Die For

9) Engraved In the Palm of His Hand

10) Pray A Little Longer

11) Author and Finisher

12) Go Ahead and Praise Him

The plan is to go in next week and begin vocals. Your prayers are appreciated as we continue this process. Again, we are grateful for all of you who have helped make this possible.

In the meantime, here's a short video clip of the musicians laying down the track for "Author and Finisher."

Blessings,

Michael Frost, Jen Frost, Amy Bebout

Michael Frost is a singer / songwriter of Christian music and has recently formed a new vocal trio, "The Michael Frost Trio," with his wife, Jen, and friend, Amy Bebout. The trio is very excited about their harmonious blend and have already accepted bookings across the southeast in churches, festivals and theme parks. All three of them have been performers at The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge for the past several years, where they gained a strong fan base as a trio. Now that the theater has announced plans to close, the trio is ready to sing and record a CD of original music that is ready for the radio.
