Update #5: We've launched!!
Finally, I get to write the Kickstarter update I’ve anticipated writing for a year, when work on Family Valuables began. Since Patrick, Danielle and I started hashing out the story and dreaming up the characters and the crazy plot twists, I’ve been looking forward to this day. Finally, I get to tell you: WE HAVE FINISHED.
Well, for now. Your generous donations bought us six days of shooting, over the course of which we were able to shoot the first three episodes (and two additional teaser scenes) of our story. It bought us Jeremy Carberry (our sound man), Sergio Bernal (our cinematographer), Jamie Blair (our hair and makeup specialist), and Hillary Thomas (our awesome composer). The show is funny, it’s fast-paced, and it has exactly the tone we were hoping to achieve with this series. We think you’ll really enjoy it.

Like I said: it’s the first three episodes. It’s not the entire story. But with these episodes, we hope to find a home for our story… and the money to shoot the rest. Watch all three episodes and follow our characters through various hijinks and hilarity. See what creative endeavor you helped make possible. Thank you again for your donations!
This will probably be the last Kickstarter update you will receive on behalf of Family Valuables. From now on, I will be contacting you through email, from my account (brennanjtaylor@gmail.com) to yours. It will be in these ensuing emails that we discuss your incentives! And I’ll probably thank you more for donating.

We've reached our goal of $2,000 - yay! But we're not done yet! We have less than two weeks to go and we'd love to reach $3,500. We have some great ideas for the web series and the more financial support we can get, the better the end result will be!

Update #1: Off to a great start!!
Thank you to everyone who has donated! We're impressed by the level of support we're getting, and it's only a couple days in. We hope you'll continue to pass this along to your friends, co-horts, nemeses... whoever you think might want to help out.
We are rounding out the cast right now, holding auditions, seeing some of the best LA has to offer. Once we have our complete cast, we will post pictures and bios on our website:

Family Valuables is a web series that tells the story of a young man who was forced to put his dreams on hold, but whose luck is about to change when he discovers he possesses an item worth a million dollars at Antiques Roadtrip!
His new-found luck is short-lived, however, when the item is stolen and his life is turned upside down. Caught up in a world of criminal appraisers, men in chicken suits, and one bumbling vigilante, our hero must reconcile with his only remaining family member and band together with unlikely allies to repossess his item and his dreams.
Our goal is to have fun, learn, work, and produce some quality, intelligent content for everyone to enjoy. Please help us with whatever you are compelled to give! Thank you!
