About this project
The Sarasota Fringe Film Festival Team is creating a Halloween Weekend film festival event in Burns Court, Sarasota, Florida, October 29-31, 2010. The program is FREE to the public, and there will be indoor and outdoor screenings of scores of scary-spooky movies for film lovers, young and old alike. New underground chillers, locally produced spookers, vampire films, and a special outdoor presentation of the silent film, "Nosferatu" (the world's very first Dracula film) with a fresh new score, will be performed live by Sarasota's edgy music group, "World Collision".
The Team has created an indoor pop-up screening space to accommodate 200 film lovers at a time, and will utilize an outdoor parking lot space with a 40x60 ft. wall on which to project the evening outdoor films. We expect no less than 3000 people to be there for both the indoor and outdoor screenings.
Our Kickstarter funds will be used to cover our out of pocket costs for projection rentals and services, sound systems, chair rentals, and coffee for our volunteer projectionists. Film lovers, families and kids deserve to go to something that's FREE for a change, so there will be no admission charge.
Contribute $10 and get the poster. Contribute $25 or more, and get a "Hallowscreen" Festival T Shirt. Contribute $50 and receive a special DVD of the Nosferatu Film with the new "World Collision" film score!
