I Die Daily follows artist Matthew Barney as he creates his "Cremaster Cycle". Interviews with Barney, cast, crew and others tell the epic story.
In 1995, while working for George Lucas, filmmaker Matt Wallin was introduced to the work of Matthew Barney. Captivated by the psychological and emotional impact of Barney’s work, Wallin set out to demystify the inner workings of Barney’s artistic creations. Over the next decade, Wallin worked closely with Barney to document the making of the epic Cremaster Cycle. Wallin shot over 300 hours of footage revealing the unique processes that Barney employs. The resulting feature length documentary, I Die Daily, captures Barney’s enigmatic inspiration and process.
The film is "in the can" and the financing being sought is for post-production. All rights are in place and the project could be completed fairly quickly with an aggressive post-production schedule.
