Update #9: New music at last!
Wow, has it really been six months since we last got in touch? Time flies when you are recording the greatest album ever! Or, to be more precise, the THREE greatest albums ever!
That's right, in true Sharp Things fashion, we have embarked on yet another quixotic musical quest: to record THREE FULL ALBUMS of new songs!
You'll be hearing more about this in the weeks and months (years?) to come, but in the meantime, we've just sent our backers links to stream and download "Dogs Of Bushwick," an EPIC number in the classic TST style.
The product of months of studio time -- financed in part by YOUR generous contribution -- "Dogs" tells the tale of an aging musician from Queens, NY, facing ever-diminishing returns with an unquenchable creative spirit. Sound familiar? Nah.
If you are among the lucky backers who gave us $20 or more, please let us know what you think of the song. We want to hear from you! And stay tuned for more new music soon; we have 4 or 5 songs that are close to a final mix.

Update #8: More new songs — and remixes!
Today we presented our backers with two of our favorites from the new album: "Flowers For My Girl" and "The Last Hymn"!
Also today, our private streaming and download pages were updated with new mixes of "Secrets & Lies" and "Daphne's Coming Over." (In our meticulous approach to making this album, we frequently return to previously mixed songs, even as we forge on with new material.)

Update #7: Two new songs released to our backers!
We're making great progress on our new album, thanks to the best fans ever!
Today, we released TWO new songs to our backers: "Secrets And Lies" and "Daphne's Coming Over." If you pledged $20 or more, check your e-mail!
That makes 5 songs mixed, out of a total of...well...we don't really know yet. More to come soon!

Update #6: New song mixed! "Losing Sleep Over You"
After many months of recording, funded by the generous donations of our fans, we're starting to mix the next batch of songs for our new album.
Today, we proudly released "Losing Sleep Over You" to all donors who pledged $20 or more to fund our recording. If you are among them, watch your inbox for an e-mail with the link to stream and/or download the track.

Update #4: OUR PLEDGE DRIVE IS OVER!
Thanks to the incredibly generous support of the greatest fans in the world, we have raised almost $4000 to fund the recording of our fourth album! This will finance many, many weeks of studio time and ensures that our next recording will be the very best it can be.
Mere words cannot express our gratitude to the nearly 100 fans who banded together to make this project an unqualified success. The result exceeded our expectations by a mile and we are deeply humbled, grateful and energized!
The first two completed songs have already been delivered to our most generous backers and we are looking forward to sharing our progress, and our music, as work continues in the months to come. We will work hard to ensure that you will not be disappointed with the outcome!

Update #3: This project is fully funded! Minimum pledge now reduced!
We in The Sharp Things are DELIGHTED and HUMBLED to announce that, as of today, we have met our goal of raising $2,500 to help cover recording expenses for our next album!
Thanks to ALL the backers who have made this possible! Your generosity is DEEPLY appreciated!
What makes this all the more sweet is that we still have 26 days left to raise more funds. And we've taken action to encourage that. Effective today:
- We have lowered the minimum pledge to $1.00. Every little bit helps!
- Pledges of $10 or more are now entitled to received a FREE copy of the completed CD!
Please share this news far and wide and help us make this already incredible experience even more rewarding!
