I love this project! I 'hosted' a hive in my backyard in MN several years ago so I know what this is about. What isn't mentioned is the amazing experience for the person hosting the hive. There is a connection as you watch, listen to, and learn from the bees. It is not just about the honey.

Nathan, I'd be interested in having you look at our rather small yard near East High to see if it would be suitable for a hive. I have a peach tree and lots of miscellaneous flowers and veggies grown in pots. Thanks.

If I win a kilt from Alt.kilt, I'll donate it to someone who can actually use it. But I can certainly use honey from Mad Urban Bees!

I'd be interested in hosting a hive in McFarland. I know it may be outside your Madison area, but I have a nice bee-friendly yard (no chemicals, lots of blooming plants).
