An independent feature film set in 1976 in the town of Wabash, IN, exploring the thin line between morals and justice.

MORALITY is an independent feature film set in 1976 in the small town of Wabash, Indiana. Joseph Damico (Joe Swiatek), who gained infamy for the shooting of the county sheriff 20 years earlier while serving as chief deputy, is now the mayor of Wabash. Amongst the townspeople, questions about that day still linger. Was it really self-defense? Or, did he just want to get rid of the crooked son-of-a-bitch? Joseph's son Richard (Michael Denarlo)--the county's current sheriff--strives to take a different path to justice, but finds himself stuck in his father's shadow. Inextricably connected through blood and politics, their morality is put to the test when the bodies of two small children are found brutally murdered just outside the the city limits.
We are shooting MORALITY on location in Wabash July 2011. The City of Wabash has already demonstrated its belief in this project by allowing us to close streets and work with the local police force--both on and off the set--free of charge. The Heartland Career Center, also in Wabash, is working on period vehicles converting them to police squad cars (please visit updates for pictures!).  And numerous volunteers throughout the local area are allowing us to use their late-60s and early-70s vehicles to ensure the continuity of the decade is maintained.
Through our passion, dedication and planning, things are working in our favor. All major equipment is purchased and all but two locations are locked. Our main actors are cast and auditions are schedueld for the remaining roles and extras. The post-production team already includes the editor and sound designer. But we still need your help.
The money you are pledging is to pay for the set locations at the Honeywell mansion, professional on-location sound and, finally, production design. We know that immersing the audience in the sights and sounds of the 1970s is critical to the success of this film, and it's in these areas we will settle for nothing less than what experienced professionals can provide. But it's only through your generous donations that achieving this goal will be possible. We've got the start we need, please help us finish it. Thank you for your support!
