Thank you for checking out the project. We believe there’s an uninspired creativity hidden within each of us. When given the permission to explore this creativity, we come alive in ways that many of us have never realized were possible.
The idea for Pockkit was sparked by a longing for simplicity, a passion for inspiring others' creativity and a love for building community... clothing is just the platform. Whether we like it or not, we all have to wear clothes. This has been a project in the making for the past 6 months and we are so close to seeing it come to life.
Our reason for this Kickstarter is to cross the finish line on the last remaining items to complete before we can begin delivering on what you create. We need to raise the funds to finish the design and development of the app and stock all materials and fabrics to deliver on your designs. We are so thankful for the opportunity Kickstarter has provided for us to invite you into the project and we hope you will join us on the journey of inspiring others to create.

The Project
You design it, we make it, you love it... cause it's yours. It's a simple four step process that allows you and I to not just be the consumers but also the creators of what we wear. The simplicity and beauty of the app is intentionally designed to allow your creation be the focal point. Here is the simple process:
- Step 1 - Choose your pocket style
- Step 2 - Choose your shirt style
- Step 3 - Choose your pocket color and stitching style and color
- Step 4 - Share, order and enjoy.
This is also a responsive web app, so you will be able to work on your designs from a Desktop at home, from your tablet during the commute or from your phone as you are clocked in or in class. A big reason for this kickstarter campaign is to cover the cost it takes to design and develop this for desktop, tablet and mobile phone. It is our goal to make sure that we arrive at an experience that inspires others to create and that satisfies the desire for simplicity and ease. Please share you feedback with us. Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
There are a few risks and challenges we may face with this project. We've prepared as best as we know how to overcome the challenges and ensure this project's success.
- This project could face a challenge in providing adequate turnaround (within 1-2 weeks) for the orders and designs that are made. We have secured our partnership with a local company, here in Orlando, that has agreed to handle all production for us. As we're not sure what the magnitude of production may be, we have confirmed their ability to handle up to 500 pieces per week.
- With placing the focus on you as the creator, everything is custom. The product turnaround time is something that may be a challenge but we are willing and able to dedicate full time to developing the most efficient and quality end result.
- Lastly, we face the risk of guaranteeing the launch of the application in a timely manner that allows you to begin creating. We've already began designing and developing the app and we've partnered with a local development shop to guarantee our completion as promised. We've also been a part of a tech start up over the past year, so we have a strong knowledge of the design and development needs that exist in this space and are confident in our ability to deliver.
As we all know, any new project withholds unseen challenges and opportunities,so we look forward to tackling these things together. Welcome to a creator economy and we thank you for all of your support.
