Convertible Axis Bracket / The Ultimate Cheese-Plate for vertical / horizontal slider moves, accessory mounting & shot rigging.
The @MNS1974 / Wide Open Camera: Convertible Axis Bracket / Ultimate Cheese-Plate is a bracket system that can be mounted to most professional sliders (Kessler, Dynamic Perception, Ditto, etc) as well as be used for shot rigging, camera accessory mounting, etc. This is a problem solver for push pull shots, hard to get angles, macro work, etc.
When available outside of Kickstarter Campaign the price will be $200 for 1x long plate 4" wide x 8" long and 1 x short plate 4" wide x 5.5" long with 1/4 20 hardware in Anodized Black with laser etched logos.
The bracket system will be manufactured in New Hampshire with an amazing machine shop (Stone Machine) I have been working with for the past year. They have done all my camera accessory machining and do fantastic work. Anodizing is sent out of state to a state of the art facility.
It comes in two pieces. A long plate and a short plate. Both mount to each other on any edge on any side or can be used independently.
One of the unique benefits of our system is that it also has 1/4 20" mounted holes on the edges of the plate and countersunk mounting holes on the edges of the plates so that you can configure just about any rigging solution you need. You can also mount two sets together to make a rectangular cube.
The most common use for the bracket is to mount cameras in vertical mode on camera sliders and also to get a height advantage for push pull shots. You can also use it as an intermediary plate for tripod systems, shoulder mounts and for general camera rigging.

The CAB / UCP comes with 1/4 20" and 3/8 16" mounting holes that are 1/2" on center. There is also Kessler mounting pattern holes for the CineSlider, Stealth, PB pocket Dolly and other Kessler crane gear.
Basically the CAB / UCP is a problem solver and a great item to have

in your camera bag.
