Check 'em out!
This project successfully raised its funding goal on November 21, 2009.
CAFFEINE SQUAD You will have access to a coffee bar with all the fixings.
HAPPY TUMMY CREATIVE PROCESS SQUAD You will have access to the coffee bar, as well as tasty, locally made treats, AND you'll have the opportunity to submit material to the artists.
SUPER VISUAL PARTY SQUAD You will have access to the coffee and snack bars, be able to submit material to the artists, get a shout-out in the performance, AND you'll receive a DVD of the performance with fun rehearsal bloopers.
STRAIGHT UP GANGSTA SQUAD You will have access to the coffee and snack bars, be able to submit material, get a shout-out, receive a DVD, AND get special VIP seats (super comfy couches!) along with a hand-made VIP badge. It will make you feel cool, not dorky, we promise. Your name will also appear as a Straight Up Gangsta Backer in the program!
SUPER AWESOME STRAIGHT UP GANGSTA Since our last VIP seats were just SOLD OUT, we needed to close the STRAIGHT UP GANGSTA section. But don't worry, you can still be a gansta in our world. If you want to contribute $29 or more, you will get all the benefits of a STRAIGHT UP GANGSTA, but no VIP seat. (We can give you a smooch on the nose though!)
Connected as Lily Sloan (765 friends)
The idea behind Big Rig Dance Collective sprung up while we were road trippin' from Denton to a performance in Austin, TX. Like highways connect cities, we aim to connect diverse communities through accessible performances, community classes, and collaborative events. BRDC is directed by Whitney Boomer, Crysta Caulkins-Clouse, Amanda Jackson, and Lily Sloan and creatively developed with many DFW area dance artists. We have recently completed guest artist residencies at Tarrant County Community College, North Central Texas College, Richland College, Green Space Arts Collective, and Ryan High School. We have collaborated with artists such as Sarah Gamblin (Dance), John Osburn (Music), Impulse (Music), and Hentai Performing Orchestra (Music), and performed in concerts and festivals such as Big Range Dance Festival (Houston and Austin), Dance and the Child International, and DFW Arts Goggle.
