About HANNAH GOFF
Hi I'm Hannah. I was born and raised in Lexington, North Carolina. Surface design, print, and textiles have always been prominent and distinguishing features in my work, but it wasn’t until working towards my master’s degree at Savannah College of Art and Design that I discovered my print-centric style. I found my niche and there was no looking back; I knew then I was meant to pursue my own clothing line. All of the prints and surface details I use are created by myself.
My Masters Final Collection debuted at Charleston Fashion Week 2012 where I went on to win the Emerging Designer Competition. Following my win at Charleston, I was selected along with 15 other designers for the Belk Southern Design Showcase where several of my designs will be produced and sold in Belk stores nation wide for Spring 2013.
My work has been featured in several magazines including Charleston Magazine, RE: Savannah, and NYLON.
THE PROJECT
Winning the Emerging Designer Competition at Charleston Fashion Week was a huge honor. As a result I was invited back to show in 2013. This is an amazing opportunity where I will be able to showcase my new collection to buyers, industry professionals and potential future clients. Showing next spring in Charleston essentially will be the "kickstarter" to my career as a fashion designer.
With such an amazing opportunity at stake, it is necessary for my collection to be the best it can be, and that means exemplary designs, prints and impeccable construction. In order to produce a collection of quality and sophistication I need to have many of my pieces professionally constructed, which isn't cheap. I work a full time job, so my time is limited. I cannot make an entire 21 look collection alone. That is why I am reaching out to you Kickstarter.
The designs are finalized and the prints are done, all I need to do now is get my garments produced!
With funds from Kickstarter I will be able to:
- Purchase digitally printed fabric and other materials and fabrics needed to construct the garments in my collection. Some fabrics and notions I have to meet minimum quantity requirements.
- Hire a small production factory here in NYC to produce my samples, which includes pattern production, prototype construction and final sample construction for each garment.
- Purchase any styling accessories needed to make my show a success, such as hair extensions, footwear and jewelry.
- Pay for travel expenses associated with sending my collection to Charleston and traveling there myself.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The most important challenge I will face is time. As long as I reach my goal amount I will have the resources to produce my collection efficiently and with quality. Without the support of Kickstarter I will not be able to make the collection I have envisioned.
