One Week To Go!

Update #5 · Nov 6, 2011 · 1 comment

Hello Kickstarter Supporters,

Jimmy, Adam, and Josh here. I don't know if you've been watching, but it's been one heck of a week. Our big news:

  • Many of you showed your support for TWD for IndieWire Magazine's "Project of the Month," and in an ulcer-inducing week of voting, we won! Please check out the article here. As a reward, we get the glory and a tete-a-tete with Sundance's Executive Director, Keri Putnam
  • Our good friends at Atlas Obscura covered "Tomorrow We Disappear" for Huffington Post. Check out the article and Joshua Cogan's amazing photos here

And now we're in the final seven days of our Kickstarter, and momentum is building. We are 87% funded, but we need help because on Kickstarter, you need to reach 100% of your goal or else you get nothing! Please spare us the emotional anguish and help out in our final week.

So here are three things you can do to help "Tomorrow We Disappear:"

  • SHARE: Take this link (http://kck.st/remfZn) and Post it to Facebook, Email it to your friends, Tweet it, anything that helps get the word out!
  • LIKE: Go to facebook.com/tomorrowwedisappear. If your network can see that you support us, it will help.
  • CONSIDER INCREASING: Look, if you're receiving this email, it means you've already pledged...and we honestly can't tell you how grateful we are. But we are adding some amazing rewards this week, so take a look and see if any interest you. See below for a sampling.

NEW REWARDS:

  • $25 - a mix tape from our music supervisor, Rob Lowry!
  • $150 - a hand-carved puppet and a limited edition poster!
  • $350 - a Producer Mystery Box. We'll fill a box with lots of eclectic, mysterious awesomeness.
  • $500 - the rights to co-director Adam Weber's beard. Wanna shave it? Henna-dye it? Gerry-curl it? Do what you wish! But be quick: you have to buy it before Adam's mother does!

That's all by us. If you have any questions, send them to jimgoldblum@gmail.com. And again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

XO.

- The TWD team

Update #4 · Oct 31, 2011 · 1 comment

Hello friends!

IndieWire has just informed us that voting for 'PROJECT OF THE MONTH' is now open, and we need your help. If "Tomorrow We Disappear" wins, we get a consultation with the Sundance Institute, which would be a massive opportunity for our whole team!

If you have Facebook, please vote here:

https://apps.facebook.com/my-polls/zzmz6kqr

And if you'd like to read the Press Release and size-up (/chastise) our competition, you do that here:

Voting is open till Friday, but just get it done now, so I can stop harassing you. Now, in honor of Halloween, here's a picture of a dog dressed as a chia pet:

You're the best.

We are "Project of the Week"

Update #3 · Oct 26, 2011 · comment

So it's official, thanks to you and your unbelievable, profoundly humbling support, the IndieWire community has just named us their "Project of the Week:"

http://www.indiewire.com/article/congrats_to_tomorrow_we_disappear_this_weeks_project_of_the_week/#

(Just a warning: we are going to harass you soon for "Project of the Month" voting)

Anyway, to celebrate this small victory, we are releasing the outtakes from our Kickstarter video. Enjoy! - and please be kind to us. We are aware how stupid we look.

You're the awesomest.

IndieWire "Project of the Week"

Update #2 · Oct 21, 2011 · comment

Hello Kickstarter!

So we are officially at the 50% mark with just over 20 days to go. This is amazing, and we are all so humbled by your support. But please, we still have $20,000 left to secure, so if you can please Facebook, Tweet, Email, or roto-dial all your friends to tell them about "Tomorrow We Disappear," that would be incredible.

But I have another request for you today (sorry! sorry! we're karmically indebted to you, I know!). Earlier this week we were named IndieWire's "Project of the Day." IndieWire is the leading online magazine for independent film, so we were obviously excited to get this kinda attention so early-on. But what's really exciting is that we are currently in the running for "Project of the Week!" And yes, we need your help.

IndieWire selects its "Project of the Week" through a vote on Facebook. You can find that here:

https://apps.facebook.com/my-polls/vsa0pzvt

If you could take 30 seconds of your day and vote for "Tomorrow We Disappear," we will love your forever - plus, if we win, we'll be releasing some funny content here and on our Facebook page.

Thank you all so much for your help. And please reach out if you have any questions for us.
