Hey Everyone,

Thank you so much to everyone who pledged, Liked, supported, and passed along the word about this book. When this story is printed it will be because ALL OF YOU! :)

If anything's been absolutely clear during this campaign it's that there are a ton of enthusiastic people out there clamoring for a children's book that will introduce children to the amazing importance of honeybees! Every person we reached out to and every organization that was contacted could scarcely hold back their excitement and encouragement of the project. The task going forward will be the small little tweak to convert “moral” support into “pledge” support.

Despite falling short in generating funding, our children's book to help the honeybees remains of paramount importance. We believe, and uncountable others agree, that educating children about these critically important topics is how we sow the seeds of change for a healthier and happier future.

Prior to beginning this project we had no idea how much a little insect could impact such a broad spectrum across our world's ecosystem. Chemical pesticides and factory farmed agriculture is a relatively new phenomenon in the time line of our planet. Biological organisms were not designed to metabolize synthetic chemicals and there are numerous documented credible accounts of how the use of pesticides negatively impacts the lives of so many species. From honeybees to humans and beyond.

So what happens now? We reorganize and restart. We've been in contact with so many supportive people who are as excited about the project as we are.

Plain and simple, this book is going to happen.

What can you do? Talk to your friends and family. The work those little honeybees do affects everyone, even if some of those you know live on cheeseburgers and French fries! Healthy bees means healthy people, as funny as that may sound. If enough people download one less song from iTunes, buy one less Small McDonald's French Fry... it can be so easy to reach our goal and get this book and this message into the hands of children, save the bees, and improve our future!

While everyone works to spread the word, we'll keep you all posted as we get ready to relaunch our Kickstarter campaign. And remember to remind people that they're not just making a selfless donation, donors actually get awesome stuff in return! Books, signed and unsigned, softcover, special edition hardcover, original artwork, limited edition hardcover, DVD of Vanishing of the Bees, special recognition, and of course the thanks billions of honeybees and a healthier generation for our children.

This campaign will be resurrected and revitalized with your help! In the mean time there are some new ideas we're working on to REALLY kickstart the relaunch the campaign.

I wanted to thank everyone who's pledged so far and for everyone else who's taken the time to swing by and see what this book's about.  It's awesome to see so many people that I've never met, endorse and Like the video.  Momentum's starting to build!

I also wanted to say thanks to our friends with Vanishing of the Bees for talking about us on their Facebook and Twitter pages.  Likewise a big THANKS to Save Bees for posting on their Wall as well.

After the campaign's a success, I'll start posting progress updates here so all of you can learn how the process is coming along as we head towards print.
