"It is a real thing!"

One of the many folks who came out to see me this weekend at the farmers market said this upon seeing my booth. That was probably the moment where I realized that Social was finally open for business and was just the very beginning of something awesome! 

The first market day was gorgeous-perfect ice cream weather! It was a near sell out day and I could not have been happier with the reception of my ice cream. So weird to say, "my ice cream"...

Anyway, I just wanted to say this past Sunday and future Sundays (sundaes?!) would not have been possible if it weren't for the great support from all of you. THANK YOU!!!

I am still working on crafty things for some of you(my perfectionist tendencies are kicking in overtime and I am finding it difficult...). If I owe you a pint or two, please feel free to drop by the market and come and get it!! I love seeing friends! If that isn't convenient for you, we can totally work it out.

For all the Locofolks over there...fret not! I was waiting until I got the logo for Social so I could make up a nifty gift certificate for y'all. Now that I have my rad new logo, let the niftyness begin! In all seriousness though, I *am* buckling down on computer work, and the coupons are high up there on my to-do-the-dang-thing list.

First, thank you all so much!! I have SO MANY plans I that can come to fruition now, thanks to you all.

Ok, so, I have sent out surveys asking for some info from you folks! If you haven't already, please send those back to me. It is going to be more efficient to dole out emails and rewards and such to everyone at the same time.

Locopeeps in the 919, don't despair! I am forwarding your info to the illustrious owner of Locopops in order to get you those yummy half pints you were promised. (Gotta admit, I am a little jealous. I don't just love my own ice cream, you know)

Wow. Just. Wow. Thank you so much to all that donated and who have kept me positive throughout this fundraiser. Thanks to all of you, I can get some much-needed items!! I am blown away by the support this company is getting from coast to coast. YAY ICE CREAM!!!

I think I am still in shock because 24 hours ago, it seemed hopeless. Under the cover of darkness, a very generous person tossed a very generous amount into the pot....and then, at the last minute, 3 of my 919-ers swooped in to tip it and Social has actually exceeded it's goal!!! 

I will be getting on those rewards posthaste!! For those in the 919, I'll be getting with Locopops to make sure your backer rewards are delivered so you can go pick up that free half pint of tasty goodness!!

I am gushing with gratefulness at all of the folks who have backed this project!! THANK YOU!!!

Now, for the other stuff....

Business Plan: If you know me, you know one of my mottos- "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" (Thanks Saturday Night Live's Linda Richmond) OF COURSE there is a business plan!! Currently, it is being reworked from what it was to accommodate some changes, but trust me...it is happening. 

What else? ...hmmm...trying to get the massive equipment problem solved. There is forward motion, so that is good. Unfortunately, it is in the direction I did not want to go in, but hopefully, Beatrice the Batch Freezer will be fully operational soon!! Don't fret, there *is* a Plan B...and Plan C...and so forth, an so on.

Lots and lots of recipe testing happening!! It has been so so great getting in the kitchen and playing! Yeah, okay, they can't all be winners, but that is what recipe tests are all about!

Some brainstorming lately has led me to some fun promo ideas and giveaways once this business gets going!

I think about this business and how I can make it different and special and successful at the same time CONSTANTLY. I love having a purpose and a passion! Now, all we have to do is make it real. Please keep spreading the word and the love. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
